Josh Allen completely outplayed Mahomes

88% for nearly 300 yards and 3 TD’s.

 

He played point guard, manipulated the pocket, delivered pinpoint passes, moved the defense with his eyes several times, and stiff armed a Chiefs defender like they were a toddler.

Mahomes having no time showed. It’s what Philadelphia did to him in the Super Bowl. KC had a less than healthy o-line but we also, unfortunately, had injuries on our d-line.

The Bills D held Mahomes to the lowest completion percentage of his career in the regular season. And okay his left tackle is out but he had all his weapons. 

 

People will fixate on a couple of long conversions - most notably the 4th and 17 - but the Bills D overall played an excellent game. Even after that drive Mahomes had two more shots with the ball needing a TD to win and the Bills defense got it done. 

 

And yes, Allen was excellent today. He said himself in the week he had to play better than he has the last handful of games for the Bills to win today, and he did. Hopefully he can maintain this focus because even with our injuries on defense if Josh plays like he did today the #1 seed is still possible.

And he did it without virtually any WR production......

 

Incredible what he did today with basically Cook and a bunch of TEs.....  You could give him the MVP on that alone.  The WR production, or lack thereof, is absolutely embarrassing.  

 

He's the best in the world in my opinion, but what we are doing to him by forcing him to do it without any WR help is just so unfair to him.  And by us, I mean Beane.  It's on him to fix it, but I am not holding my breath.

Brady really helped him out. Was hoping he would call a game with some quick, easy throws. Got him into a rhythm. And Josh forced nothing.

But they didn't "run" away from Cook today!  Big progress if you ask me.  Just the continued threat of Cook makes such a big difference!

You know Cook is an all-pro type now because it didn't even feel like he did very much, but you look up and he hung 100 yards on a Spags defense.

If we broadly keep playing like that, the 1 seed is highly probable.

Everything that was going wrong over the last 2.5 games before halftime in the Panthers game got corrected at halftime because for whatever reason he was a different QB and back to his old self again...

I know people don’t like the injury excuse because at the end of the day you’ve gotta find a way to win the game with the players you have, but the bills offense would be scoring far more points on the bills defense than the chiefs do in the playoffs.  There’s always been some joke of a player for them to pick on due to injury it’s kinda ridiculous

 

13 seconds game was pretty even…we had no tre and they lost mathieu mid game but that was a very different chiefs offense.  Last couple with aj klein and kair elam forced in were a joke

Mahomes was under constant pressure and the second wave contained him and was ready to mash.

 

Allen did look calm, cool, and composed.  Threw some really nice balls.

I just wonder, what’s wrong with Mahomes?  Is he doing too many commercials?  Is married life taking it out of him?  I mean 44% completions, no TDs and an interception?
