Why would they? They get dominated by every AFCE team as it is. Why would they trade their best to a divisional foe?

I wish Beane was the GM of the Jets or Fins.

He would have gave up his best piece to the Bills, just like he does with KC

Ehh in this case if a division rival offers you a great deal you take it imo..  Dolphins and jets have to completely turn their roster over anyone they trade will be on the downswing by the time they are competitive again

We're officially the new Packers (when the had Rodgers in his prime)......  All world QB with the GM refusing to surround him with any super talented WRs and leaving the entire offense up to him.

The only difference is the Packers have won Super Bowls.....we haven't.

We are a Kincaid injury away from virtually no receiving production......

Ted Thompson 2.0 this 1000%.

The greatest trick the Beanester ever pulled was convincing the world his nickname is “Big Baller.”

I wouldn't  hate it...not sure why the hate? He played pretty well last year, just not up to the contract after injury...as part of the 4 man rush package on 3rd down he could be impactful...move Groot or

I would agree if this was year 3 or 4… I have no idea how you think this team is going to all of a sudden win a bowl. They have all the issues they had last year and it wasn’t good enough, why would you think it’s good enough now.

im more convinced now than ever that we will never win a bowl with beane running things, probably Sean as well. They are way too scared and risk averse and it shows all the time.

I hope you're right. He's been AWOL in quite a few games, including the KC game, where he played 41% of the snaps and had one catch for six yards. What is he doing out there?

Good question.

Really, most of the guys that ended up getting moved wouldn't have helped that much (at least the guys we could afford).  Shaheed would have been nice, but is he really much of an upgrade?  He's just another WR3, really.

I think it's getting tougher finding trading partners with 7 teams in the playoffs now, and how mid the league is.  Most teams are still holding out some hope.

Shaheed is a field stretcher, something this team doesn't have outside of Palmer, and I'm not convinced he's the guy. He can also return kicks, which is a better option than Davis/Ty and Shakir.

Apparently Bills got worse by doing nothing. 🤷‍♂️

It's weird that other teams found a dance partner. Brandon Beane must just be the ugly gal standing by the wall.

Why in the world are you acting like 31 teams made a trade and Buffalo sat out?

The Jets and Cowboys were the movers and shakers this trade deadline. What a feat…

Cant really speculate on the guys that didnt get traded. But of the deals that did happen, I wish the Bills had done the Shaheed and Dre'Mont Jones trades.

Chiefs, Broncos, Steelers didn't trade for anyone either. Colts got a guy in our division that the Jets weren't trading to us. Patriots traded AWAY two players. Chargers got an O-lineman who is... fine. Quiet AFC contender dance I guess. This is hardly a Buddy Nix situation.

Trade deadline reinforces that neither Beane or McDermott are feeling any heat from ownership to get over the hump and into the SB.

I don't know if that's more an indictment of the GM/HC or the owner.  Either way, status quo reigns at OBD.

What’s most disappointing is knowing I gotta watch Coleman get the most snaps out of our WRs for the next couple months. Wanted the misery to end.

I’m confidant that Palmer (when he returns) and Shakir will be lead the WR unit in routes run the rest of the way.  Keon will probably lead in snaps due to run blocking

Agreed, but I am more confused then annoyed. This was the year where at least one deal seemed like a given.  At the very least, I thought that they would make a trade to replace Oliver and Hoecht.  Because they planned to trade, it feels like bad preparation on Beane's part which bothers me more than if he had just said that he felt fine with what we had.

At some point,  you have to start questioning why Josh is content with this staff? I was told several years ago that they discuss everything with him, with regards to Draft and FA.

He has to be okay with what they do and don't do!

It may actually be worse than that - they are so year to year dependent financially in this market that they cannot afford to mortgage any real future assets.

my guess is that last year or this year they weren’t really targeting Super Bowl, but rather an overhaul while the plane is in the air. The roster last year getting to the AFC Championship was a decent amount of luck.

They’ve overturned quite a bit of the 23 roster at this point, and I think with this offseason that work will be complete and it’s on to then next 4 year generation of the Allen era
