GoBills! Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I think he hurt his throwing arm, which part not sure. But he doesn't have the same look or motion as before trying to just chuck it using just his upper body and thats hard with tight windows and slow developing plays. Quote

I believe that.. we have more offensive talent than that Giants team Which had an old plaxico burress, an old Armani tumer and their number three wide receiver one for 300 yards And yet, we’ll likely never see him win a Super Bowl. Call me a downer at parties. A person who doesn’t own a crystal ball. Whatever. But given what we have seen from our current coaching staff, Allen will not be enough to win the big game for us. The guy can only do so much and it won’t be enough (unless he suits up to play linebacker or safety). Quote
kjack151 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I wonder if the change in the QB coach is part of the problem. I can’t prove it, but he doesn’t seem right and I don’t know if he has a coach to correct him. I remember Ronald Curry when he was in the league and he was nothing special. Quote

I wonder if it's more about the routes and schemes or calls than the players. It could be. I just know our passing game looks stagnant. We need an outside threat with speed to stretch the defense. Would make our run game even more deadly. Quote

The broadcast flashed to him shaking his right hand after one of his rushing TDs and I was hoping someone would ask him about it post-game. Quote

At the end of the day a hundred years of football would so it wasn't meant to be for Josh Allen Which I still don't believe because people said the same thing about John elway who is one of the most physically gifted quarterbacks ever and he didn't win until his penultimate season Quote

There’s been a lot of quick side arm throws or flicks to people close by. 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We say Josh doesn't have any weapons but he used to make plays with Robert freakin' Foster as WR1. 2 Quote

He said before the game that they were doing well in the run and the inside-the-numbers passing game, with the obvious point being that they suck at the outside intermediate-to-deep game. Watching Troy Franklin today, I can’t help but think he’s significantly better than Keon Coleman, who was trash vs Carolina. And Troy Franklin fell to the fourth round, he was there for the taking and I was hoping Beane would pick him since there was so many speedy receivers in this draft and we had so many pics after the horrible Coleman pic, but of course not! More defensive picks, that rarely pan out. Franklin was a glaring value in the fourth round. And Josh definitely hasn't been playing well, that's for sure. Glad we won though, but it was mostly James Cook today and thankfully with the added fresh pieces on defense, they played a lot better. I think McDermott is now calling the plays with Babich as well. Certainly seem to made a difference. 2 Quote

Beane or the scouts have to just be terrible at evaluating WR talent. Or they're need for "culture" fit just overrides actual talent. At least player the Bills did draft in the 4th is turning out to be maybe their best pick this offseason. Quote

Yes, Beane and his staff are terrible at evaluating talent generally, especially with wide receivers. 1 Quote

Our receivers suck and Coleman will go down as on of Beanes worst picks Quote

For the second part- I have no evidence or quotes to back what I'm saying like above, but Just watch Josh Allen since 2020. He's by far at his best when he's throwing to shifty WRs and has rhythm in terms of attempts. Im pretty sure he enjoyed being MVP last year and didn’t care that we were running less Shotgun formation. Quote

Yes this year Walker looks like a steal and I love Hawes but they still botch the 2nd and 3rd rounds most years. Franklin over Dwayne Carter was the obvious pick for any other GM/HC combo that has Josh Allen as their QB. But it’s year 8 of the same throwing all resources at the D line and barely filling a practice squad roster at WR gameplan from this prideful dope squad we playfully call McBeane Edited 2 hours ago by NeverOutNick Quote
JoshAllin Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It's mostly the running game. They're opening with lots of runs now and its throwing off his rhythm. Now that they are top dogs in rushing, hes not getting into that same groove he had when they leaned on passing more. I don't think its about the WR's as he can still hit Shakir or Kincaid when needed Quote

He's a rhythm passer who thrives with 30 plus passes per game 2. prefers shot gun 3. likes throwing to speed receivers in 11 personnel. We built an offence basically the exact opposite of that lol This 1000%, when you do something alot you become good at it, when you do it infrequently you're not as good at it as if you did it more frequently. 2 hours ago, BillsFan130 said: 1. Look at the games that he dominated last year that really propelled him to the MVP. Jacksonville, Detroit, rams. (15 tds in those games combined) What was the common dominator in those games? I'll give you a hint... It wasnt 22 total pass attempts with play action passes to tight ends and bubble screens Edited 2 hours ago by BillsFan130 Quote
VW82 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago My take is he is dealing with something and that's why he's had some uncharacteristically brutal throws the last few weeks. But he's also made more bad decisions this year usually trying to do too much. Then he reverts to 2019 only without the same athletic ability. He isn't playing with the same confidence. Quote
