Josh is being told not to force throws . That's why he's so hesitant in slinging it in fear of getting intercepted.

I thought Josh said in his post game interview that he was forcing throws in the 1st half?

Palmer has a whopping 14 catches on the year. Not sure why I'm seeing so many people talk him up today. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I suppose.

It’s not talking him up so much as it’s talking guys like Elijah Moore down if that makes sense? 😂

Palmer missing seems relevant to the comparing this years offense to last year’s at least. Taking Kincaid and the best outside wr away last year would’ve resulted in a falcons level mess or worse I think

Brown is flat out unavailable. BTJ probably isn't moving anywhere unless some team blows the Jags away with an offer. There really aren't many good WR options out there. If I'm Beane I'm calling Cleveland about Jerry Jeudy right now.

I think Jeudy or one of the two guys from the Saints winds up in a Bills uni.

Today Kincaid had 1 catch for 23yds. I thought Dalton was going to be our Kelce?  Everyone talks him up as a weapon yet we rarely target him.  The inconsistency in his usage drives me nuts.

Kincaid was out snapped by Hawes today 34-14. I think the success of the running game had a lot to do with Dalton's lack of targets

Jeudy, Shaheed or Calvin Ridley are my best guess. Of course, Beane always ends up getting someone no one talked about lol.

It was a classic find something that works and keep hammering it game.  Hawes was an absolute beast in run blocking I wonder how the TE snaps shook out

We still need a WR. Cook won’t go for 200 every week. Our D won’t be playing Andy Dalton.

Just enjoy the blowout.

Yup. I think game script had a lot to do with it. I also think he wasn't 100% after the oblique injury. Maybe a bit of giving him a light workload so he didn't aggravate it before the Chiefs next week.

Hawes-34

Kincaid-14

141 before contact...wow. The OLine is getting it done.

No question, the O-line and TEs took control today.

But what was so apparent to me with Cook today (other than his speed---it's so nice to have a back that can consistently turn the corner) is his vision. He just sees the holes and cut back lanes so much faster than the other guys. Love the way he is running this year, patience, following his blocks, hitting the holes with speed as soon as he sees them, beating guys to the corner, etc.

Not saying he'll reach these numbers, but Cook is currently on pace for 1,829 rushing yards, 2,045 yards from scrimmage, and 17 TDs. 👀

I also wonder about this. He's had accuracy issues three games in a row.

That play in the second half when he stepped up in the pocket an threw to Hawes, was classic Allen.  Too often lately he’s standing in the pocket, not moving, then throws a bad pass.  He needs to move around that’s how he makes special plays.

I think Josh is cooked. No pun. Well yeah pun intended. Josh don't throw past the LOS. Josh don't turn the ball over. Josh just hand it off. This is how Sean wants to win games. Josh is a decoy for the running game now.

If we rushed like that every week, we would be undefeated. Unfortunately their are good run fronts out there.

We still need another WR. This game changes nothing for me on the offensive side.

Truthfully, we need two wide receivers. Shakir is a WR3/slot, and the rest of them are WR4s, including Gabe Davis. So an Olave AND a Rasheed. I realize it's not going to happen, but giving Allen the same quality receiving corps as his top peers would let him show the league what he's capable of. He's no game manager, despite McDermott's most fervent wishes.

I'm more surprised they played Hoecht there. I know positional flexibility was a big plus but DT?

One of the reasons that people always cite for wanting a big one tech is that he will require double teams and free up Ed.  However, you can also draw double teams through penetration.  That's exactly what happened on the first sack of the game by Ed.  Hoecht drew a double team and Ed was easily able to get in on Dalton.

His best play was the throw to Shakir.  On-time within the structure of the offense allowing the receiver to make a play.  We need much more of this and less escaping the pocket scrambling around to create.

SEVEN Sacks

Hallelujah!

Very happy for our front 4, even if it was Andy back there.  Patrick will be a little trickier to take down. This was a classic "get well" win for this team. Still a little concerned with JA.

Yeah.  Something seems off.  There were a couple of passes in the first half, with open receivers, that Josh missed BADLY.
