Until you look at our cap space. 😞

It’s not a hard cap in the NFL though. There are ways to free up space. The bill eventually comes due, but Allen’s not getting younger.

One of the NFL radios guys was praising San Francisco year after year for having numerous injuries and still putting up a fight every week. It got me thinking how poorly the bills do when they start to get punched around a little bit or dinged up.

My wife said it last year watching a game with me, one of the few times she sat down to watch more than 5 minutes. If the bills start to lose or are down by a touchdown they never seem interested in trying to win or care. They don't have the fight in them

Maybe she's trying to mirror your energy or repeating things you've said in the past cause she wanted to connect with you?

Cause otherwise, I'm not sure I really am going to take the opinion of someone who barely watches the team more than five minutes at a time...that said, my own wife does have a pretty good understanding of football, she grew up having to watch it, but she doesn't anymore all that much, but I do value her opinion when she watches... so yeah, I'm flip flopping a bit, lol

Palmer has done next to nothing so far.

Beane needs to listen to the radio guys, swallow his pride, set aside his ego, and go get a capable WR.

Coleman is terrible. He is getting worse not better. Forcing him the ball is worse than forcing Gabe Davis the ball.

Ugh. He's the only guy with decent separation skills on the outside. In any event, he's not playing against Carolina and I'm guessing at least KC.

Ground breaking info here. Nice job breaking news Joe.

Perhaps this will bring added urgency to a potential trade for WR ?

We're more than one new player away from fixing these issues, but I don't put it past Beane to overpay for a player out of desperation.

There’s ways around this if the Bills are actually serious about needing $$ in season.

Attaching a pick with Samuel to get him off this team is an option.  Knox is a solid TE who would likely have a trade market.

There are ways around this, but the Bills need to be willing to get creative and/or be willing to part with a player who is an OG of this roster.

Don't ask Josh to throw any bombs because there's no one to get separation deep.  Unless he wants to throw 50/50 bombs to Coleman.

More like 5/95 bomb. 😂

Right?  She was a college athlete and knows sports fairly well. And I always say she being negative.... But she ends up right. 😕

He's a Bills Beat Reporter. He's going to post what the Coach says. The fact that he was asked about it and didn't rule it out kind of is important news.

It just keeps getting better... And if that's the case why wait?

Cuz gotta see if Gabe Davis is healthy or gotta find someone else. In terms of Daquan am sure Larry O performance will affect the decision.

That or the guys that are available aren't what we want or their teams are asking for too much.

He's added Kelvin Benjamin and Amari Cooper in midseason trades during his tenure with the Bills. Both were colossal failures. Combine that with the fact that he had a very public crash out on WGR over not needing to add WR's.

I have concerns that both his midseason trades not working in the past and to do so would make him look dumb after the outburst on Jeremy White will keep him from doing what should be done. I hope i'm wrong though.

I don't think Larry O's performance will determine anything when it comes to adding a Defensive Tackle. We've lost *three* DT's on the 53 since cutdown day. DaQuan Jones, T.J. Sanders, and DeWayne Carter. Sanders may be done for the year after knee surgery, Carter is definitely done for the year with an Achilles, and Jones will be down a number of weeks. When Carter went down, we didn't bring up another DT. We decided we'd roll with 4 instead of 5 and then called up DT's from the Practice Squad on a weekly basis for injuries. During that time we used all 3 of Zion Logue's callup's (until the Playoffs) and 2 of 3 callups for Jordan Phillips.

Since that time, we've lost Sanders (3T) and now Jones (1T). Larry Ogunjobi will take T.J. Sanders spot as the off the bench 3T for Ed Oliver, as that's where he played in Training Camp and the Pre-Season and that's the spot Beane said he'd be at. But right now, we only have Ed Oliver, Deone Walker, and Larry Ogunjobi on the 53. We started the league year with 5 DT's, now we're down to 3. You need to have a minimum of 4 DT's on the roster. We need to bring up Zion Logue to be behind Deone Walker at 1T, regardless of Larry Ogunjobi's activation and performance.

I dont think Beane is making any trades for a WR.

This year is different--- 2 young guys Beane has hopes for & top picks (Kincaid, Keon).  Factor in contracts for Shakir and Palmer, and to an extent Samuel too.

Thats 4-5 offensive weapons that Beane put his investments into - unlike past years, where we didnt have quite that investment in pass catchers.

Beane messed this up in the offseason/drafts, its going to take more than a mid season trade (unless Saints/Bears/Phins move on from a  receiving threat).  There are few names that fix it this yr: Olave, Moore, Waddle, maybe Shaheed but we probably won't use him correctly.

IMO, it will be a small rebuild next offseason at skill positions.  I think whoever the GM is next yr, will finally target a #1 type WR - but it will take some moves to fix the cap again.

Not making a trade for even a Meyers-level WR would be kind of a shocking disconnect from the sentiments of the fanbase and almost all of the national sports media. It would be arrogance, imo.

Hoping TJ comes back, but you never know with knee surgeries/injuries- so you might be right.

Logue makes the most sense --- crazy how injuries have hit the DT room, especially the younger guys.  Logue isnt special, but hes a bandaid until Daquan and/or Sanders returns.

He's terrible at mid season WR acquisitions so what would be shocking?

John Brown and Beasley 3.0 would not be shocking
