Solomon Grundy Posted Monday at 10:54 PM Posted Monday at 10:54 PM A WR who can double as a return man on special teams? 🤔 1 1 1 Quote
JohnBonhamRocks Posted Monday at 10:57 PM Posted Monday at 10:57 PM If he’s being outplayed by Ayomanor and Pike… then I think maybe no. That coaching staff / offense situation could hold a player back, but I would not bet on it here. My guess is they’d sooner turn to Gabe Davis if all medicals are equal. 1 2 Quote

BillsFooteball Posted Monday at 10:57 PM Posted Monday at 10:57 PM We need a WR but no. At best he’s on steep decline and more likely he is washed. People only want him because they heard the name, what in the last couple years would excite you about this? 2 Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted Monday at 10:58 PM Posted Monday at 10:58 PM I mean, at this point, I wouldn't turn down anything that they think can help. But a 33 year old that these days works primarily out of the Slot? That's not where we need help. With Palmer down long term, Samuel consistently injured, Keon, Moore, and Shavers unable to create separation and beat single coverage - we really need a Boundary guy who can get open. If they think Lockett can live there in the shape he's in these days and get open, go for it. But his production and how he's been used by the Titans this season and the team he made his name for washing their hands of him doesn't exactly instill confidence in me that he'd be a big difference maker at his age. 1 Quote

Alphadawg7 Posted Monday at 11:14 PM Posted Monday at 11:14 PM We have younger similar players in Samuel and Moore who we already don't use. Yes, there was a point in Locketts career where he was better than both - but this aint it. As someone said, I would rather call up Davis than sign an older version of guys we already dont use properly. 1 1 1 Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted Monday at 11:20 PM Posted Monday at 11:20 PM (edited) 5 years ago I would have been all about this move. Father Time and all. Guy wasn't even getting targeted in Tennessee with Ridlely missing time. No thanks. My wild guess is he ends up either in New England as they are reported to be looking for WRs or reunited with Pete and Geno as a Raider. Edited Monday at 11:27 PM by BuffaloBillyG 3 Quote

From what I see with us going with 2 and sometimes 3 TE's we are using Shakir as our Z, he's played nearly 100 snaps (25%) as a flanker. We have about the same number of snaps YTD with 2 or 3 TE's as we do with 3 WR's. 1 Quote

Draconator Posted Monday at 11:24 PM Author Posted Monday at 11:24 PM Personally, I would say no. Let him sign somewhere else. But I figured I would ask the obvious. @Pete didn't disappoint. 1 Quote

PauleeeWalnuts Posted Monday at 11:48 PM Posted Monday at 11:48 PM Nah he’s cooked. Elevating Gabe when healthy would be basically the same except he knows the system. 1 Quote
