They had the leading MVP candidate Baker Mayfield and Seattle's starting QB Sam Darnold on the same team & let both get away, just like Browns & Jets did with one of those guys. Those 3 teams are where QBs go to be comatose, leave & suddenly wake up & thrive. Even when the Bills were bad, they didn't have good QBs come in, dump them & then watch these guys thrive elsewhere. When we dumped a QB, he never came back to haunt us, he was bad wherever he went. These 3 teams get the right guys & stymie them until they leave. The Jets have a horrible history with both young guys & vets. It goes back to Favre who sucked as a Jet & went on to Minnesota where he was great again, Geno who was nothing until Seattle, Darnold who is finally the QB that was envisioned in the 2018 draft, and even this year, dumping Rodgers, who is playing good in Pittsburgh and signing the incredibly bad Justin Fields. Well except that guy named Daryle Lamonica... 1 1 Quote

Flacco is a competent ball distributor when he has star players surrounding him. It's when you ask him to start doing too much on his own that he struggles because he no longer has that in his bag anymore. Bengals have weapons on offense on par with anyone in the league. Also, what are the complaining about, DeShaun Watson is getting ready to return, I'm sure he will fix all their woes. I am sure Deshaun can rub a few wins out of these guys... LOL Quote

I wish Joe Cool was the back-up QB in Buffalo, he could teach Josh a lot. I think Allen would if he had just a Higgins Quote

Flacco got the ball out really quick too. Steelers fans are complaining about Herbigs's snap counts last night. He lead the league in pass rush win rate by ESPN's metrics so that was surprising. transplantbillsfan Posted yesterday at 06:25 PM Posted yesterday at 06:25 PM Objectively the Bengals have Chase and Higgins. Flacco's strategy yesterday was basically to just get the ball in their hands as many times as possible. And it worked. Honestly I've always thought Burrow is a little overrated. I'm trying to think of better WR duos in NFL history. None pop up in my head. I'm sure there are some. Can't be many Quote

Rice and Taylor in 1989 both had over 1,000 yards in 16 games under the old rules. Heck, Jefferson and Addison come close right now. Quote
Another Fan Posted yesterday at 06:37 PM Posted yesterday at 06:37 PM It's understated how much Cleveland fans loved Nick Chubb and the team traded him away this past off season as well 1 Quote

Ethan in Cleveland Posted yesterday at 06:41 PM Posted yesterday at 06:41 PM Wow this board has a short memory... 17 years of no playoffs Starting QBs that had not even looked at the playbook Back to back 2-14 seasons 20 straight losses to the Dolphins The Browns are a mess right now but just like the Bills for the 17 year drought, they have talent. During their terrible run they had one of the best LTs of all time playing for them. They now have a first ballot HOF DE. And yes the Bills may not have released a future great QB, but they let Lynch walk out the door and become a star in Seattle and win a championship. And let's not forget about future first ballot HOF Jason Peters getting traded away... 1 Quote

Even before last night one of the players was quoted as saying he didnt know what the feeling of winning was like anymore. The despair of not having a capable QB is so overwhelming. Odd thing is, Flacco sucks. He is a turnover waiting to happen. He just caught lightning in a bottle with great WRs and a terrible Steelers defense that he probably knows better than anyone in the league. He will probably throw 10 INTs in the next four games. 1 Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted yesterday at 07:03 PM Posted yesterday at 07:03 PM I mean they are total trash, how does the Bengals having Flacco actually hurt the Browns? Does someone think they were going to go on a heater and win the division or something? Flacco only helps temporarily too.....if I was a Browns fan I think I would be good with the 5th round pick at this moment 1 Quote

Big Turk Posted yesterday at 07:44 PM Posted yesterday at 07:44 PM (edited) The way this board sounds right now, we might as well be the Jets. Honestly, people need to get their heads out of their asses around here. That's what a large percentage of posters on this board should have been focused on during the bye week. 1 hour ago, Royale with Cheese said: Both Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne are Hall of Famers.
