RF made $82m career earnings.  Tell me why he wants to stress himself out for a Bills commitment.  I'm sure he's more than happy with a TV role.

Remember when Dan Marino took a demanding job with the Dolphins.  He quit in 10 days

I remember the rumors about Cowher coming back to coaching and this was back when he wasn't that far removed from his days coaching the Steelers. Boomer Esiason kept saying there is zero percent chance he comes back. He said he loved his CBS pre/post-game job. Getting paid millions to watch and talk football but doesn't have to put in the long stressful hours anymore coaching.

It’s the bye after two losses and many have lost their minds temporarily.  We definitely have problems.  I’ll wait and see what happens in Carolina and after.  Besides i can’t take the incredible negativity.

This thread is as good as the "Would you want to see Josh play hardball with the organization?" thread.

Silly times are afoot.

The Buffalo Bills are in danger of using up the best years of Josh Allens NFL career without winning a Championship. A similar elite athlete at the QB position in Cam Newton retired after 11 seasons. Allen is in his 7th season now. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a highly intelligent football knowledgeable retired NFL QB that spent many years playing under Chan Gailey. Business minded and could help the organization in many ways. Example : Fitzpatrick is touring the Bills new stadium. Discussion about where the snow melt goes develops and Fitz comments why not purify some of the snow melt and sell it to the Bills mafia? (not word for word) Brilliant idea IMO. Few minutes into the tour Fitzy's mind is already working on ways to make the franchise $$$$. Delight the Bills faithful. Fitzpatrick knows how the Offensive Guru Gailey thinks and has the Gailey play book memorized. Ryan Fitzpatrick would give Buffalo the shirt off his back. Fitzpatrick loves the Buffalo Bills and their fan base. The Bills love Fitzpatrick. It's a match made in the football heavens. Always has been. Ryan Fitzpatrick can help make sure the remaining years of Josh Allens career are successful and help Buffalo win a Championship in my humble opinion. Part time consulting. Keep his television gig.

What say yee my fellow Bills fans?  🤷‍♂️

But Josh has gotten better with throwing interceptions.

With the factual basis you presented, why not hire Newton?  Or McNabb?  Or Jim Kelly?  What's so special about Fitzy here?  What does Chan Gailey have to do with ANYTHING in 2025?

And why would you hire a QB who didn't win anything as the consultant?  If there's going to be a consultant, shouldn't he be a winner?

To sum up, 2pm on a Wednesday is a little early to be opening up the first can in the second six-pack.

Compare all the IQ's of the men you just listed.

Throw your own wit in there for laughs...

Yeah no...completely different situation. Unless Allen gets in a bad car accident and hurts his shoulder that was never the same after then I don't want to hear another Cam Newton story.

I have no idea how we watch this team lead the NFL in scoring over the last 5+ years by a wide margin and still complain about they don't score enough.  Really is mind boggling how little Bills fans actually watch other teams and have no comparisons to the rest of the NFL.

Fair enough

Good point, probably not the best example to use.

I can't predict how long Allen will play, but it's inevitable that Josh Allen's elite skills will begin to decline.

Perhaps they already have...

This just in, opposing DC's figure out how to stop you. The rest of the league Copy cats. Did we score enough points in the last two losses?

Have the Buffalo Bills ever scored enough points in the playoffs when the sledding gets tough to reach the Superbowl? ( Allen at QB)

How's that worked over the past 5 years? Bills have scored 30+ points 14 of the last 17 games. Sure, they might get us for a game here and there but overall the Bills are a machine offensively.

Yes, they have pretty much every time. The Bills D allowing on average 14 points more than they do during the regular season should be the starting and ending point of the discussion for playoff issues.

I loved the Chan Gailey designed screen.

And that's the only thing I loved about him.

I loved those screens.  The Buffalo Bills still own those Coach Gailey game films.  I often wish the coaching staff would dig some of those out, dust them off, and shamelessly copy some of the screens.  Can you imagine Cook getting the football in space with blockers in front of him like Fred did?   Cook could score 10 TDs by Perl harbor Day if we did that.

Do you remember Ken Dorsey getting fired?

I never brought up points. So what's your point?

Rather than turning yellow snow into Perrier, why don't we ask Ryan if he's willing to help fix our offense.

No hot reads

No Cook on 3rd down

No WR room

.....I'm sure he'd have some brilliant suggestions.

Besides the fact that he's never coached or "consulted" before, so we have no idea of whether he'd be good in that role. Besides the fact that there's no indication it's something he's ever had an interest in.

Why would he want to?

He's making more money now for less work as an analyst (on top of other media appearances). He'd have to give that up if he wanted to have any official role on that side of a team.

Substandard results call for drastic measures.  Not only Ryan Fitzpatrick, I say the Bills hire Ryan, Ryan, and Ryan: Fitz, Wrecks, and Rob.  The league won't know what to make of the Bills.  And if someone thinks they see through the ruse, just get someone to say "Well, look at Pegula's hockey team!"
