No team has had more money wagered on it than the Bills at BetMGM online. They’ve taken in 13.2% of the bets.

Thanks.  This is what I alluded to in an earlier post.  In the offseason, the Bills were heavily bet by both sharps and the public to win the Super Bowl.  (It was schedule-based).  So if the books are going to take on more Bills futures bets, they're going to make bettors pay a very bad price to do so.

They may have been going into today, but I dare anyone to tell me they still are after watching KC's offense and their weapons just run wild all over the field today.

They literally may have 4 pass catchers better than anything we have in Rice, Worthy, Brown, and Kelce.  Throw in JuJu and Thorton and top to bottom, they may have the most weapons on a single team with Mahomes at QB.  And their defense is 10x what we have and even more-so in the playoffs when the games matter.

I don't think I can listen to any argument about any other AFC team, right now barring injuries, that has a better chance at making the Super Bowl and take it seriously.  This is not to throw shade at our team.  I think we can still make a run.  But we don't have a defense that can slow them down and Allen doesn't have the same weapons to keep up in a shootout.....  Just the way it is.

as David Byrne says "same as it ever was"

Right now the Chiefs, Patriots, and Colts would have better odds of winning it all than us, to any sane bettor. And that's just the AFC.

Sad but true. I sure wish we would have kept Mack Hollins.

And who was saying that after week 1.  Or week 3.

We can safely bet the Chiefs will be around - unless they lose to Denver 2x, and us.

They’ll lose 1 more in there.  That could knock them out.

11 weeks to go.   So many injuries happen that change trajectories of seasons and teams do get figured out.

Oh wait we’ve been that latter part the first 7 weeks lol.

We've been a top team for the last 5 years.  I think the general thought around NFL betting circles is that we are going to flip a switch and turn things around very shortly.

As someone who follows this team faithfully, I think we are one week away from a really sad reality from setting in.

It has happened pretty much every single year.  The feeling we have now is the same feeling after we went back to back bad losses to Baltimore and Houston.

We were 3-2 and people were writing the season off.

Not to mention 3 out of 4 losses stretch in 2023.

Two losses in a row in 2022.  Vikings and Jets.

2021, we were 7-6 at one point.  We lost to the Jags coached by Urban Meyer and the Colts embarrassed us at home in that stretch.

Covid year, we lost to the Titans who didn't even practice that week.  We lost 42-16.  Then lost to the Chiefs the following week and it wasn't close.

I'm not at the worried part yet.  I'm not feeling great but we have been through this.

Great write up, but what did we do in those years??  The feeling is that we are not a SB team, and we’re not.  End of statement.

There’s a lot of football left. Nothing is set in stone right now.

What does everyone think of the Colts? I have to admit I didn't see 6-1 coming especially with "Danny Dimes" as their QB. But the Chiefs have gotten their act together and have to be considered the favorite (AGAIN) to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

If anyone thinks this team is going to turn it around in the same manner they have in the past, I believe this year it's not as likely.

We have a bunch of old retreads on defense trying to hold the secondary together with duct tape. A defensive line that can't pressure QBs, but especially mobile ones. LBs who are undersized and injured. That's just defense.

On offense their receiving threats are limited to Shakir and Kincaid (who's frequently injured).

Anticipating a 3-headed rushing attack at the start of the season, Davis has fallen off a cliff and Johnson has not shown anything to write home about.

Add to that, it looks like the coaching staff is trying to keep Josh under wraps. There have been opportunities for him to take off running when it looks like he hesitates - hearing a little voice in his head from coaches telling him be cautious.

Even in the wins against mediocre teams, the Bills have struggled.

I hope the Bills prove me wrong, but I think this is going to be an off year and won't be surprised if they're listed as 'in the hunt' for the playoffs in the final weeks, rather than clinching an early division title.

This simply isn't true. Right now the only team with better odds than us are the Chiefs, and rightfully so.

The Pats are a whopping +3000 to +3500 to win it all. For those of you who don't understand those numbers, it means every sportsbook on the planet thinks the Patriots are frauds. You know, actual experts that back up what they say with real money, who are capable of removing emotions from their predictions. That last caveat eliminates 95%+ of this board. Hell, there isn't even a single sportsbook that has the Pats favored to win the division right now.  And I agree with them. Aside from us the Pats haven't beaten any team of substance. They lost to the Raiders. They beat the Panthers, Saints, and Titans and people with goldfish memories are crowning them? They're an up-and-coming team, but not nearly as good as the Meltdown crowd has been making them out to be this past week.

I can’t listen to all this Super Bowl stuff.  A lot of people get upset, but the fact is, the Bills are not a very good team right now. Seems to be a much better chance that we don’t make that playoffs than making the Super Bowl. Have we even played one really good game yet?
Unless some serious changes are made, I honestly question how we’re going to win games.. our secondary is a complete mess. We don’t have a WR who can command double coverage. The blueprint is out there on how to play us. And our coaches are still making very good questionable decisions. Who in our secondary is going to keep up with Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, along with covering Kelce?  How do our receivers magically create separation?

Yes, we have Josh Allen… but Allen alone is just not enough to get us there.

Hopefully they’re figuring out some things during the bye!
