This freakin place is so awful after a loss. Obviously 2 in a row makes it way worse.

We're making the playoffs. That's all i care about. I would love the #1 seed, but I reject any notion we need it. McDermott's playoff road record may be 0-whatever, but that leaves out the fact that other than 2019 (when we weren't this iteration of the Bills and Josh Allen wasn't yet Elite), every road playoff loss came against the Chiefs.

That proves somehow we're doomed on the road against other teams in the playoffs??? Totally disagree.

I also think this crowning of NE is really premature.

Guys, before the season started looking at our schedule to start the season I think we all would have been happy with 5-1 at the bye. We're one game off that pace with a mass of circumstances I think we underestimated.

Let's just take a step back for a moment and look at what really happened against Atlanta.

Our #1 receiving weapon who's become Josh’s most reliable target and finally seemed ready to break into that "Elite TE" category was out.

Josh Palmer got injured on the 2nd series and I really think that killed our offensive passing game. It was clear to me the Bills were about to integrate him more into the offense. Even the commentators brought up the conversations they had with Bills coaches last week about Palmer's deceptive speed.

Daquan Jones suffered a calf injury during warmups leaving us with 3 active DTs, one of them being Ed Oliver coming off injury. (Side note: Deonne Walker is going to be awesome!) 3 DT rotation against Bijan and Algier??? Yikes!

Bernard gets hurt mid game and exits.

McGovern gets hurt and comes back clearly still hobbled.

Plus we have 2 important defensive reinforcements coming in right after the bye and hopefully Hairston can play soon after.

Say whatever about our remaining schedule but none of these teams are that scary. The Bengals will probably still be starting Flacco and their D sucks. The Eagles (as stated) look like the NFC version of us.

Kansas City is, in reality, an inconsistent up and down team we're going to play at home and is the one team on our schedule this team doesn't look past. Yes they got players back, but they lost last week against the Jags with Worthy and it baffles my mind the way Rashee Rice is talked about as an Elite WR who will inevitably unlock their offense. The guy has played 20 NFL games and surpassed 100 yards a whopping 4 times. I'm not saying he won't be good and won't help, but the whole "uh oh!!! It's the high power Chiefs of 5 years ago!" is pretty ridiculous.

The Bucs and Steelers look good, but how much do we really think that lasts?

We aren't going undefeated after the bye, but who cares? January into (hopefully) February is all that matters. Just get there.

Take the bye, get healthy... take a breath.

Cordially,

Brandon Beane’s Mom

I'd take Wade Phillips aa a DC over Babich, right now! Babich was also linebackers coach previously before the promotion, which is arguably the weakest link.

If Wade Phillips had JA17 instead of Flutie/Johnson he’d likely had several SB visits and at least one win.

YEAH, another year getting bounced in the playoffs....how exciting.....

Not so fast on making the playoffs. It’s going to be very hard for this team to make the playoffs with this coaching staff, injuries and lack of talent especially on defense and WR. This team needs a major shake up.

If the bills don't do the following then you panic , but these three kinda simple/basic things will fix a lot

1. Defensive player calling back to McDermott

2. Upgraded corner and safety (need white to be the 5th or 6th cb and rapp to be a backup)

3. Two better WR, move Coleman to the slot/back up slot to take advantage of his size (similar to the falcons do with London) bring up Gabe Davis and trade for a speed wr like shadid or an all around guy like dj moore

I'm not mad, last two weeks I didn't even watch the second half.

In my head I have moved on from McDermott 2 or 3 years ago.

I'm in prove it in January all else is noise mentality.

Wasting the prime years of Allen. When the consensus is finally met it will be too late

Exactly what I think

No. I just don't have the memory of a goldfish. I've seen this regular season script play out every year since 2021.

And do you somehow believe our problems will just disappear in January? Hasn't history shown you that they do not?

Some fans and apparently the team itself are content to get into the playoffs and win a game or two but no more.

Before I get carried away and talk about the playoffs though I'd like to see the bills beat a .500 team.  Just one and we can declare we're great again

Last year they started 3-0 and then were 3-2. This year it's 4-0 then 4-2. Remember when they were 7-6 and won all the other games in a row?

That being said, no, I'm not fully convinced they make the playoffs. They could be the #1 seed or not even make it. No guarantees. But I'd say the odds are gerat they had least make it to the dance. In both these losses, it's clear they could have won with a play here and there, an opportunity taken, etc. And mostly, with better PLAYCALLS. That can be done, from this point on.  Now, will they do it? We'll see. But not like they were blown out here.

Are we going to make the playoffs? the NE Patriots are in 1st place.  The wheels are wobbly and could fall off IMO

Need to see what the DL looks like after the BYE but I really don't think that is going to be enough to make a huge difference...  We shall see, but everyone has the right to be concerned when you witness what we have seen consistently this year

Dude we know they're going to the playoffs, but that isn't enough anymore. We all see a wide open door slamming shut because McDermott has a softy for Babich, who couldn't even coach himself out of a life or death situation. We rely too much on aging veterans and its starting to bite us in the ass.

They're slipping on banana peels during a cake walk. Its ridiculous. And worst of all, I feel more for Josh. He deserves a superbowl more than the city of Buffalo ever has.

Edit: This thread would've been easier to digest 6 years ago, not today when the number 1 team is the Daniel Jones led Colts, followed by a Patriots team with a guard starting at LT and the ***** Chargers. This was our year 3 ways to Sunday and we got cute with it and fumbled it away before the bye.

Wait.., we're going to the playoffs but we've already fumbled the year away with 11 games remaining?

If this is your perspective, you're new to football. Teams in the NFL are almost always very different heading into game 16 than game 6.

Once again, take a breath.

If people wanna be calm about it that’s all fine. I just don’t understand why people try to tell other people how to feel about it. We look horrible and the defense can’t stop literally anyone. The coach is overmatched and seemingly getting worse. We are wasting the entire career of a generational player. After all the playoff losses, people always want to say we’ll be back. Eventually one time is the last time you get back. Writing off years is a problem and people are well within their rights to be concerned
