You just can't function consistently as an offense if you can't throw the ball downfield outside. This is common sense but somehow the fanbase was bamboozled into thinking it wasn't necessary. 

 

If that or something similar doesn't happen I want Beane fired and a new GM brought in with zero connection to McDermott.
