If Penix beats us going to London, so be it. Just dont want to see Bijan picking up chunck yardage. Their defense can be ran on. But I suspect they react with bringing safeties down a lot. Need to see the field better and our OL can hold up in pass pro. Bills 33 Falcons 27 we've actually had a sick pass rush, and it looks like groot just woke up from his slumber (think it was a knee). adding back ed will be a huge gain. if we can also get tj, obiwankenobi, and hoyt (sadly, not till the next week and likely not fully operational until after the bye) we might actually have the d we are supposed to. 1 Quote

But honestly, when looking at both teams, the Falcons should win. I'll be more surprised if the Bills win, than if the Falcons do. huh?? why should the falcons win? Buffalo Ballin Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Why would either team SHOULD win? No victory is cemented before the game starts. Falcons defense is really good. We're on their turf, too. This is another hard fought battle. Don't expect huge numbers from Josh Allen and our WRs because Falcons are damn good at defending the pass. Quote

Falcons have the 1st best pass defense as far as yards per game, guess who #2 is? The Bills. What's that tell you? That isn't a good indicator of pass defense. They have also only played Baker Mayfield as a good QB. Their run defense is not very good at all. Advanced metrics put their overall defense is middle of the pack. They are not a very good redzone team on offense or defense. I think their D is leaps and bounds better than it has been, but I am no where near scared of it. COULD the Falcons win? Yes. of course. But the Bills are favored, on the road, for a reason. We are better. Edited 5 hours ago by PaattMaann Quote

JohnBonhamRocks Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Each team should be able to run on the other. I think whoever abandons the run game as opposed to building off its success with play action will have the big disadvantage. In other words, don’t get cute. Penix has been only passing short. Do we dare him to beat us with his arm down the field? What happens when a stoppable force meets a movable object? What is this year’s equivalent of a third round pick for Rasul Douglas? Hope Hairston ends up good to go for us this year, but banking on that after Bishop was essentially a redshirt for missing just training camp seems foolish. Let's do some comparison: Allen >>>> Penix Robinson = > Cook London >> Coleman Kincaid > Pitts Shakir = Mooney Bills depth pieces > Atlanta depth pieces At massive gap between Allen and Penix is the advantage for Buffalo, but I don't think the non-QB pieces are as lopsided as you infer either. 1 1 Quote

Bills 33 Falcons 27 i think we need to gameplan on palmer and samuel getting downfield and keeping the target on kincaid. it'll be hard to keep their defense disciplined because, as you said, they'll sink inside the box and dare us to put it long. i hope we get 50+ yards rushing by our RB's in the first half. note i did not say Josh or some weird play by Knox lol 1 Quote
Roundybout Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Beane simply must acquire a mid-high-end defensive back like Woolen. Hairston isn’t going to be ready for weeks. So that means we’ll probably start Dane Jackson. Fade me. Quote
Success Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I don't suppose anyone watched their game w/ the Panthers? That seems like a crazy lopsided loss to arguably the league's worst team. They have certainly looked better in their other games, but I'm just wondering how that came to pass. 30-0 is crazy to a team like that. Quote

A pick six, couple of turnovers on their side of the field, I think they blocked a punt or FG as well. It’s not hard for a game to sometimes get away from you if a couple of balls bounce the wrong way. 1 Quote

The essence of it was that Penix is the worst QB in the NFL this year on throws 10+ yards downfield. Joe's point was that you have to make him prove he can beat you like that. This is not the week to play conservative and cede the run like we do so frequently. Stack the box, shut down Bijan as much as possible, and force them to beat you through the weakest aspect of their offense. If they can do that you tip your cap and move on. If they beat you with Bijan and quick short passes, your defensive gameplan was a failure. 1 2 Quote

Yes, the Falcons could win, but it won’t be due to the huge home field advantage. 1 Quote
