ryguy101 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago With the NFL trade deadline looming a little less than a month away here are some of the bigger names: 1. Backups: Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson and Anthony Richardson - have not garnered interests from teams Why is there no interest in backup QB's? Cousins is screwed- 4 year 180 million with 27.5 mill guaranteed Cincinnati needs a QB- Browning has not been the guy he was 2 or 3 seasons ago- he will throw 2-3 interceptions a game early and then lead a late comeback to no avail TEAMS EXPECTED TO BE ACTIVE: 49ers, Jags, Rams, Bills, Seahawks, Patriots and Eagles Mark Andrews and Alijah Vera-Tucker are expected to be on the market with interest from other teams. Jets may be focused more on the future- giving up on Justin Fields. Who may be the biggest sellers? Saints, Jets and Browns I mean Cleveland needs a total reboot. Saints have a multi year rebuild and the Jets who I just mentioned WHO DO YOU HAVE BUYING AND SELLING THIS SEASON? Quote
SCBills Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Bills major glaring weaknesses.. Defensive Line. That said, we have potential growth from rookies, Oliver comes back and we get Hoecht and Ogunjobi off suspension post-bye. CB2. Strong may have a serious injury. Tre White simply CANNOT be CB2 on a Super Bowl contending team. Ja’Marcus Ingram is our only depth. As an aside, Benford has not had a good start to the season. Hairston comes back, maybe, but what will he be? WR. Same issues as always. Lack of separation and inability to create explosives at outside WR. A team like the Pats are perfectly constructed to exploit that with a strong run defense and two stud corners. We saw the result…just like we saw the result last year against Houston. Linebacker. Milano cannot be relied upon. To the point where it’s almost a disservice to the team to keep trying to play him. We’re left with Bernard, Thompson and not much else that’s playable on all 3 downs. Quite a few glaring holes for a team that’s contending for a Super Bowl. Luckily, the AFC is full of teams with holes, but ours seem to be recurring themes that surface here and there throughout the season and ultimately doom us against KC. How many moves are you looking to make at GM and how “all in” are you willing to go? Would you be willing to move productive players like a Knox (very unlikely) or Van Demark as player for player swaps? What type of pick would you give up for a positional upgrade. For me, I’m willing to give up a 2nd or 3rd for a multi-year WR. It has to be addressed if possible and in a meaningful way. Josh Allen turning the ball over, smacking his head on the field and getting up wincing on another play last night is a direct reflection of this issue. DL is stand pat and hope the Calvary solves it. I’d be throwing around Day 3 picks for LB and CB. I get it.. not ideal. But this team is going NOWHERE with Tre at CB2. In order of importance… CB2 - WR - LB - DL Id be on the phones making sure CB2 and WR are addressed if I’m Beane and I’m willing to part with a Day 2 and Day 3 pick to make sure that happens in a meaningful way. TheBeaneBandit Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Start by activating Hairston. But a .monster 1tech would be sweet. Quote

Bruffalo Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I'm not doing anything at CB if Hairston is on track to be healthy. Let Dorian Strong and Mad Max figure it out as the season goes on and demote Tre White. I'll take athleticism over mental processing any day at CB2. I'd be trading Ray Davis for a ham sandwich. In WR I'd be looking for a bottom feeder NFC team that's looking to sell. Chris Olave comes to mind instantly but I'm sure there are others. Quote
Avisan Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Tough to say. Losing significant time for both rookie CBs (who seems to have potential) due to injury is rough, and you're likely trading for a de facto rental. Cap space is tight, which makes trading for a big-time WR tricky. Especially since our draft picks are always bottom third of the round. I would say LB or safety just due to cost and relative positional depth, it's achievable and we can pick up a guy that might actually stick around past this year. Edited 5 hours ago by Avisan Quote
Johnnycage46 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Ship picks, 1st rounders if needed, to get some WR help and CB help. Trade away the 1st round picks because God knows this front office can't use them to pick good players themselves. Seriously, 1st and 2nd round picks should basically be used as trade currency going forward. Use the middle and later rounds to find diamonds in the rough. If you can't draft them yourself, use the picks to trade for players who are already proven. 1 1 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I actually like our D Line. The back 7 is a mess but I’m not wasting any more resources on a McDermott defense. Trade for a young talented WR like Olave. Even if it doesn’t get is over the hump this year, a #1 WR will be needed next year for a new regime. Get a head start. Give New Orleans Coleman plus a 2nd rounder. 2 2 Quote

I'd put LB ahead of WR. Allen can make most of our WR look pretty good. He can't keep LBs from missing tackles and getting injured. 1 Quote

Billsfanatic8989 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago CB#2 is a huge issue. White cannot start. He was getting burned all night. WR#1 is obvious. Olave in New Orleans. Maybe look at Brandon Cooks. Quote

There were whispers last year about it after they paid Justin Jefferson. Hes target 1A if made available!!! Dj Moore could be available 1B. Olave 2A, Shaheed 2B. 1 Quote

They can have a 2nd + late flyer, or some kind of pick exchange as the second pick... or a player of their choosing within reason (non starter, unless its a WR, but then a 2nd rder needs renegotiation) Also his cap hit this year is $3.5M, so I believe we'd owe pro rated remainder, so ~$2.6M. Next year is $4.4m, with club option available for 2027 Edited 3 hours ago by BillsShredder83 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It’s gotta be for a WR. Teams aren’t gonna let us be risk averse all year like last year if we can’t make them pay in the passing game. On defense, we have Hairston and the 2 roid D Linemen returning. McDermott has no excuses on the defensive side. Quote
DJB Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 1. New Head coach 2. New DC 3. #2 corner 4. Someone on D that can actually tackle 1 Quote
ngbills Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The loss last night and even the previous wins highlight we need a WR and S. Rapp and Bishop are not cutting it. Go get CJ Gardner-Johnson and best of the unhappy WR out there. As we saw even with an ineffective Amari Cooper, he still drew some attention. The current group does not have any one guy that does that. Quote
Sweats Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'm starting to think we should blow our wads on a true WR1........our D is and always has been unreliable, we've spent draft after draft trying to compensate for our dismal D to no avail and if McD is such a D guru, then fix the ****ing thing already. At least with a WR1, we should be looking at scoring 30-40 points a game and just be going full throttle on O and letting teams try to play catch-up cause our D ain't getting it done. Might as well focus 100% on our O 1 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted 12 minutes ago Posted 12 minutes ago Seems riq woolen is a corner that could be available, according to various league guys. He seems to fit the we need speed at the corner spot requirement. Quote
