gjv Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I guess we're going back to the Paul Brown system of sending the play in with alternating guards. Quote

MikePJ76 Posted September 26 Posted September 26 This is like, as Parcells always told the story, Everytime the giants played the 49ers under bill walsh right before the niners first play they would declare their headsets didn’t work then the giants had to turn their head sets off and miraculously after the niners opening scripted plays were over their head sets would work again. this kind of stuff has always gone on 1 Quote
NoSaint Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Mcvay is wild. He could tell you the 12th play of the third quarter of week 4 in 2017. The players involved, exact play call and outcome. He also is very smart with forcing tells with formations and motion this feels like the meathead complaining the smart kid has better grades 3 1 Quote

Too many stairs though. what’s the typical career expectancy of the Bills “challenge expert “? 3-4 games ? Quote
thenorthremembers Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Why the hell are professional football teams using the same signals for multiple games? 2 Quote

thewookie1 Posted September 26 Posted September 26 As long as they aren’t taping practices or tapping the QB to coach communication thing I can’t see how it’s wrong to watch your opponent’s staff and players for any type of tell. 1 1 Quote
unbillievable Posted September 26 Posted September 26 If the QB yells "Omaha!" it's a pass to Marvin Harrison. 2 Quote

Yes to the LB he gives the team signs he can't walk up to 10 other players and whisper the play call to them 1 Quote

If they are monitoring the other teams sideline for any signal that is cheating as far as I am concerned. Prepare your team with what is put on film and react accordingly during the game. Disgusting that anyone thinks this is ok. the signals are out in the open during the game, so they are fair game. You also have a headset to communicate with a player on O and D. Quote

Buffalo716 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 (edited) I've been at multiple games around the country and at Ralph Wilson stadium where I have caught sign stealing from opponents I actually alerted the Ralph once and the guy moved.. but he was 100% sign stealing and relaying .. he was communicating with people on the sidelines Being around the game so much it was easy to spot Edited September 27 by Buffalo716 Quote

Seriously, what signs are being stolen? Don’t headsets eliminate the need for signs? What are we talking about here? Quote

Positional coaches use gestures and occasional signs to relay information There are absolutely using hand gestures and physical signals to relay to their position groups.. and the coordinators also use gestures and signs it's not all radio Edited September 27 by Buffalo716 Quote

That’s interesting, I had no idea. I figured everything being called was related to the green dot guy, who would then call the defense to the others. Maybe it’s also hand signals between players on defense prior to the snap? Quote

Players on the field absolutely also have hand signals to relay information... And the Green Dot call is basically going to be the meat and potatoes of the call The positional coaches in situations are also giving hand signals or gestures relaying more information Occasionally... Like they might see something in the alignment and signal bracket coverage If You're on the road at Ralph Wilson stadium where it's hard to hear you might have to rely on gestures and hand signs occasionally.. sometimes the mic goes down.. so you need to have hand signs Edited September 27 by Buffalo716 Quote
