Anything less than a 1 seed given that we’ve beaten Baltimore and have a relatively easy schedule compared to other contenders in the AFC would be sad to see.

 

That means not slipping up against a team like Miami here and there. 

 

If any team needs to aim for a WC bye week and only two games, at home, to get to the Super Bowl, it’s the team who has been eliminated every year in recent memory - in part - due to massive injury issues on an undersized, injury prone Defense.

What will be interesting is if the Bills are winning and how much they pour it on.  With the prevailing presumption being McDaniels is fired if he loses, does McD run the score up to seemingly secure that? Or take it easy and make it seem closer?

 

Also will be interesting seeing how the phins play with the possibility their head coaches job on the line? I feel there are enough players on that team sick of mcdaniels that they don’t give the best effort.

McDermott doesn't seem like the kind of coach who would run up the score. Look at last week as an example. The Bills got a huge in the first half and didn't try to run up the score in the 2nd half as the Bills only outscored them 10-7 in that half.

Couple of big differences including:

 

*  a Bills team that was in some disarray at the time.  Remember that bad bad loss in London to the Jags the week before they barely beat the Giants.  In fact the Bills would lose 4 of 6 games with their only wins being close ones over the Giants & Bucs at home.

 

*  DaBold had special insight on Allen and the Bills offense.

I doubt McDermott is coaching with a specific goal of McDaniel getting fired.  It’s simply not his concern and NFL HCs are a fraternity unless there’s otherwise a source of conflict.

Miami will give it their all in the 1st half. The players still have pride and know they need to put good tape out there regardless of how this season goes. The key is to be aggressive early on and build a two score lead. Give them a reason to lay down and die and they'll take it. Let them stay in the game and it could become a dogfight.
