He's a first round pick that got multiple contracts from the team that drafted him; that's speaks to both his ability and professionalism, imo.

He's been wrecked by injuries the last couple years and has already been banged up here as well, so it's hard to tell what we can really expect from him at this point.

He definitely seems like the kind of guy that will work his keister off to get back to a level he can take pride in, but can his body endure the pounding any more? I don't think anybody really knows at this point. 🤷‍♂️

Seems like once you get the injury bug, you just have it permanently moving forward. I cant think of any examples off the top of my head of a guy who was nagged by stuff over multiple seasons who later became durable again.

This is probably unfortunately true. But if he can get himself healthy for spot duty, if not extended duty, then it might be all the Bills need from him.

Chris Paul is someone the Bills had in for a 30-visit and I thought for sure would draft at #173OA except the Rams traded up to 172 and took him. Bills settled for Jackson Hawes. Paul got beat out for the Rams roster by Shaun Dolac, but he is still sitting on the Seahawks Practive Squad if the Bills want to take a shot to IR Milano (if it's serious) and sign him to the 53.

Yea I thought this too initially but the Bills would have to open up a 53 for him compared to just calling up Ciarlo and/or Jenkins for a couple weeks then hope that Milano comes back healthy. Sounds like it’s not super serious for Milano so not sure they want to IR him for 4 games

How about his "extra hard" week of practice that resulted in Ed's injury and obviously a normal week of practice would have been just fine, the Jets stunk and we blew them out.   Meanwhile McDumb has us in full pads wednesday, more injuries to key players totally unnecessary.

I said this elsewhere, but a guy like Bosa should be off on a short week— like not play this Thursday. Just asking for injuries trying to get these old vets to play a Sunday and then Thursday game.

Doubt it is a serious injury. He was on the sidelines with his helmet on through the 2nd half. If it was really serious he would have been in the locker room. That being said we'll almost certainly keep him out on a short week, as we should.

 

We really just need to go undefeated against our clearly inferior opponents and win any 1 of KC/Philly/TB. If we do that we'll probably have the #1 seed locked up in week 18. Rest all the starters for two weeks and for the first time ever enter the playoffs with a totally healthy defense and only 2 wins to get to the Super Bowl. If we end up in a seeding dogfight down the stretch and end up losing a defensive player or two in the wildcard we'll have no one to blame but ourselves. Stay focused and don't drop any stupid games.

Ok. There's 32 teams starting mainly 3 LB's per team, so let's say ~90 LB's that are starters in the world. The Bills are gonna somehow get not only one of those, but one of the top-20 of those?

Coming from someone who tore their pec in college playing SAM at a small time school, even with surgery it can ruin your career. The amount of rehab is insane, plus gaining the confidence to lock out on opposing OL/TE takes time. It took me 12 months to bench press the bar. Physically and mentally not easy.

Wow, we dont even know the extent of injury yet.  He was fitted for a brace at halftime and stayed dressed.  Maybe he misses a game, maybe its more serious, but the obvious thing isnt to jump to worst case scenario yet (like alot seem to be).

Agreed. Knowing this team's MO, they're going to promote from within and backfill from the bargain bin. They generally believe that if they have the right people on the roster and coach them up, that they'll be fine.

 

Doing things like trading for Amari Cooper are out of character as far as I recall.

I liked Paul too and for the long term this would be a good move.

 

But I doubt he'd be of much help this year.
