So basically an Edmunds 2.0? That's not exactly instilling confidence for me lol

Are you nuts?  Getting even a Tremaine lite, surprise boost out of a 3rd rd LB'er at this juncture would be an 8-run HR... on rookie deal salary.  Sure itd be awesome to get some amazing play outta the kid, but at this point we'd be doing really well to have him just not be in the way.

It's crazy that some guy's careers/primes can be over in the blink of an eye.  The injuries have hit Milano hard later in his career.  Sad to see because when healthy he was a phenomenal talent

Gotta wonder if he'd still be playing if remained a Safety.

One of my hot takes before the season was that Dorian Williams MAY be the best LB on this team. Milano was off to a good start and I think Bernard is overrated. Williams physical tools make him potentially dynamic IMO. We will see I guess…

Honestly wouldn't mind moving Bernard to OLB and letting Williams play MLB. I know in their base they are almost interchangeable.  Bernard actually has some pass rush ability.

Waste of cap space when he can’t stay on the field. Time to cut him in the off-season.

Well, they won't have to cut him. He's a FA after this year.

It comes with the position. LBs get hurt a lot. They're basically in a laundry machine with boulders when those big Guards can come hit them with a head of steam. Zach Thomas, for example, was always injured.

You'd think he'd be a bit luckier, but I'm never surprised when I hear about an injured LB.

It’s awful

I just appreciate that some of these guys are making it super obvious where we need to draft next year.  Safety and LB

And some think TE or interior OL depending what happens in free agency.

It’s odd to me that not having an elite off ball LB will keep us from winning a SB.

If we don't, there will be multiple reasons why. I'm in the camp of doing literally everything possible to mitigate all of those reasons.

Well...now we know what our 1st pick in the draft next year will be.  OLB at #32.

#32?  Surely we need to tank now so that we get the #1 linebacker in the draft!  (Of course, we will still take a DB.......)

I will take the blame for this.  During his all pro level season, I bought a Milano jersey,(I like to represent Defensive players) and clearly put some kind of bad juju on him.  He has not been the same since.
