Fan in Chicago Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (You all will love this thread on victory Monday) Seeing how we well we are playing now, that we get a couple of defensive players back in few weeks and assuming that the young 'uns on defense gel by mid-season, I am having a really tough time seeing a loss on our schedule. But we all know how difficult it is to go unbeaten. Also, I dont want to jinx it. So if we assume there will be at least one loss this season, which game has your vote? Dolphins - naah Saints - no QB, still re-building Patriots* - Maybe if Vrabel does his thing for playing tough in the trenches and this is his Superbowl Falcons - way too underpowered to slow us down Panthers - Naah Chiefs - they should have Rice back by this time so it is likely but I feel we are more balanced overall on Defense and can avoid the typical issues with their offense Dolphins - they will be thinking about next season at this time, so naah Buccaneers - a possible loss as they are a tough team and on a good day, can give us fits Texans - while good overall, it remains to be seen if CJ Stroud can recapture his rookie form. But I dont think they have the overall horses to stop us Steelers - Again, could be a tough game but Rodgers' arm would be hurting by this time Bengals - Maybe Burrow will be back by this time but he will be rusty and our Defense should be fully revved up by this time Patriots - see above Browns - good overall team but still looking for a QB. Eagles - first real possibility of a loss with how tough that team is. But if we have the #1 seed locked up, many of our starters will be resting Jets - rrriigght So, in summary, I think our first loss could be to the Patriots, Bucs or Eagles. What do y'all think? 1 1 Quote

Its a long season. Teams adjust. Playing at this level all year isn't realistic. If history is any indicator, somewhere around week 5 the wheels will suddenly come off and we will be looking completely out of answers for a few weeks. 3 Quote
Sweats Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We're going to win some that we have no business winning and we'll lose some that will have us absolutely scratching our heads and call for firings, so...... 1 Quote
T.E. Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It will be a weird one against a lesser team that they underestimate. They still have an issue with starting out flat against inferior opposition, and eventually that bites you from time to time. Quote
SF Bills Fan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It is very possible that the first and maybe only loss will be the Eagles, but it will likely be one of those odd games where we lose to a bad team in a game that we are favored and just have a bad outing. One of the Pats games, maybe. the Texans in Houston will be tough. Quote

I think the Baltimore game checks your first statement. Hoping you are wrong on the second clause. Quote
thronethinker Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I know the probability of it happening is slim to none, but if ever there was a season where the Bills could run the table this is the one…. Quote
Chicharito Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago First L comes against KC. Before you came at me lose this game reverse the curse that is KC in the playoffs. 1 Quote

zow2 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Last year I went to the Miami game at OP, thought it would be a rout and we were pushed to the very end with Bass having to make a career long FG. These lesser teams can be dicey. The Saints are not good but Rattler has played better than guys like Penix and JJ McCarthy in my opinion. So he's not complete garbage like people think. I feel like the best chances for losing in the next couple months will be KC and Tampa. But since both games are at home who knows? Quote
Mark80 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) 20-0. Only chance is Eagles if we have already clinched Home Field and are resting people. Edited 1 hour ago by Mark80 Quote

Each year recently there is some sort of midseason slump. Which is fine as long as they are back up to a high level by playoff time. 2 Quote
SoMAn Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The Jets - last regular season game at Highmark when they have the #1 seed sewn up and all the starters are on the bench for most of the game. Quote

Makes me a tad nervous that they need to win Thursday to avoid their season being effectively over. 1 Quote

Ya I hear ya, but that team is in complete disarray. They have no leadership and the players and fans have lost faith in the coach. They can’t even get a play off after a timeout without having a delay of game. They could very well go winless this year. 1 Quote

Chiefs and Eagles are the only 2 very possible losses I see on paper. The Bucs have a chance and MAYBE the Patriots on the road since we usually lose 1 or 2 divisional games. But there’s the homer part of me that thinks they can go undefeated so who knows? If I was betting I would say Buffalo has 3 L’s this year. First one will be the Chiefs, but we end up beating them in the more important postseason matchup. 1 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) There will be a last years rams-ish game where an up and coming team beats us in a tough game and everyone thinks we blew it to a bad team and panics haha I’m trying to think of who it’s gonna be though im scared to say Tampa in case they look bad tonight 😂. Was going through this in another thread…we lose to bad non-division teams as infrequently as anybody and as far as within our division goes I woulda thought the road jets game would be the toughest and our only other matchup with them is week 18 where they will probably want to lose.. kinda hard to see a loss outside of maybe chiefs or eagles but I’m sure there will be one at some point.. Its so important to lock up the 1 seed prior to that game IMO. I DO NOT want to have to play them right before playoffs, with a possible rematch, if we handle our biz this year. Absolutely crucial to be able to sit our guys that week fully, or roll them out for a 1st quarter only "stay sharp" only kinda game. Could be even bigger if we got to rest our guys/play vanilla, while getting a chance to see their starters while they need to win a game late!!! Thats far away, but handle our biz week to week, and this could potentially really pay off IMO 1 Quote
