Other than game ending FG's...shelve the shout song for 3's 1 Quote
Ray Stonada Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Dolphin fans are surprisingly realistic and sort of sympathetic, when you read their board. They are having a tough life. Quote

But was clearly more the defense (I think there were multiple defensive TDs) and when asked what he thought about the NFL he said he thought it would be harder. Proceeded to get beat by the broncos enabling bills to cruise to first division win of this era. There is always a non-zero possibility any team loses to any other team.Ā Over a 20+ year study they definitively proved that teams who faced "trap games" actually had a slightly higher winning percentage than in games against similar teams when it was a "non-trap" game.Ā SO in fact when you think it's a "trap game", that means the Bills actually have a slightly higher chance of winning historically than they otherwise would. Not at all to be picky here... but I would agree with you according to your definition... mine is simply those games where you clearly should win and don't as you get better there are more of those games, I am attaching absolutely no statistical significance to the word "Trap" in any way shape or form nor sayingĀ it is more likely that we would lose or not... I am simply saying this is a game you should win dont tlet your focus down because you are playing a reeling team... they are a division rival and beating you could switch the trend on their season... so bring your A game... thats it...Ā Quote
Gregg Posted September 17 Posted September 17 This game against Miami reminds me of a game a couple of years ago in 2023 against the Giants on SNF. The game was in OP. Everybody thought the Bills were going to destroy the Giants. The Giants were a bad team and were decimated by injuries. The Giants ended up leading 6-0 at the half. They had a 9-7 lead in the 4th quarter before Allen rallied the Bills for a 14-9 win. This was a game that shouldn't have been close. I think the Bills win big Thursday night but the game against the Giants showed everyone to never take your opponent lightly.Ā 3 Quote

It was clear pass interference in the end-zone on the last play. Refs just wanted the game to be over and they didnt throw a flag and walked off the field. 1 1 Quote

Canāt say the same right nowĀ Ā If I remember correctly the spread in that game was even larger than the 12.5 the Bills are favored in this one. Allen has improved his game since then limiting the turnovers. They can't take the Dolphins lightly tomorrow. I don't want a repeat of that Giants game where the Bills barely escaped with a win. DapperCam Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Dolphins fans, players and coaches just sound so down right now. If the Bills get up 2 scores early like vs the Jets I think they will mentally quit. I would be aggressive if I were Brady/McDermott in the first quarter. 4 1 Quote
