Feels like a we hate our coach game coming up.

Most of the players had grown tired of Bullough and the famous story was that Bruce Smith, who couldn’t stand the coach, told his defensive teammates they better not make any tackles or he’d kill them. No one in the NFL tries to lose, and it’s doubtful the Bills tried to miss tackles, but the players no longer wanted Bullough as their coach.

Who’s it a trap game for? We play the Saints next week, arguably the worst team in football. If anything Im the Bills sitting here saying damn we beat these guys were 3-0 with two division wins, a tiebreaker over the Ravens and the Chiefs at 0-2. A home night game with a frantic crowd against a division rival who looks like they already want to give up on their season.

Could we lose? Sure if we beat ourselves we can but there is a lot of Buffalo Bills Fan Derangement syndrome going on in this thread

Quite honestly we are saying the same thing...  I guess its all in the definition of trap game... for me its a game that you clearly should win but dont because you dont bring your best game and ultimately beat yourselves... my hope is that they just wanna give up and dont come out like a cat in a corner...  maybe my use of the word trap is simply a misnomer for we are playing a team we should beat all day long, but I could see this going the other way if we dont take it seriously as a team...

I copied and pasted your question into AI and yes, apparently every game is a trap!

🙂

Who knew?

and in all seriousness... I will call like 6 or 7 games this year a trap game (well I mean I wont anymore knowing that therapy sessions might need to be scheduled LOL) because a trap game  to me is one that we should win all day long but need to take seriously or could get our butts handed to us maybe a let down... (can I say that or is let down triggering too LOL) ...  So, KC or Baltimore Philly etc... we gonna know we need to take them serious, but every year there is a game or two you throw a clunker for what ever reason... Maybe I am just old and using old terms that were once ok but now... are wordsana non grata... :)🤣

I agree.

The Dolphins know that their season is on the line, and that they can play the Bills close (because they've done it before with this QB and this coach).

Thursday night games are also weird and fluky sometimes.

I'm not predicting a Dolphins win, but I also don't think this game will be nearly as easy the Jets game.

If the Bills DO dominate the Dolphins and make them look hapless and hopeless, it would not surprise me to see a coaching change after the game.

I mean I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills are in the Chiefs position from last year when we play them except without half of those games being inexplicable wins that other teams threw away.

Well, we have only played two games and one of them certainly fits that description.

I don't have the clip, but check them out after (before?) the preseason game. They were laughing it up together

Interesting.  Maybe they have mended fences or maybe it was just rumors.  Still....feels both parties have moved on.

If they don't win, their season is over and their coach probably gets fired. If they like that guy at all, they're going to come out amped up. Really hope McDermott is doing his "It's hard to win in the NFL" routine all week.

Over the course of the last 5+ seasons, the Bills have the fewest of those wins in the NFL since their average game is nearly a 10 point win.  Yes, you read that right.  Not their average WINTHIER AVERAGE GAME, including all losses since 2020, is a win by 9.5 points. That is so absurd it's to the point of almost incredulity. Like you almost want to go back and start adding up the totals because you don't think that could be right.

The 2nd place team in that category over that timeframe are the Ravens at 6.72, which means the difference between the Bills and the 2nd place Ravens is larger than the difference between the Ravens and the 6th place 49ers.

Is there something that you think is fundamentally changing this year in that?  Doubtful.  They have what some are saying is the easiest remaining schedule in the NFL.
