Sweats Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Charlie Kirk.......some love him, some hate him. Shot in the neck at the Utah campus at a speaking engagement, in critical condition. That is all......carry on. 1

DCOrange Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Assuming most people that see this post already know, but Charlie Kirk is confirmed dead. 2
TheBrownBear Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I checked out the responses on BlueSky and TikTok and there are thousands of people celebrating his death. I didn't agree with his politics, but at least he was always willing to sit down with anyone and have a civil conversation. I don't want to go overboard and we have no information on the shooter, but it's hard not to feel like we are slipping into some dark times. 1 4 1

Like when those kids getting killed into a Church turns into political shouting matches online…I just can’t 1

JFK, RFK, MLK... these are just keyboard warriors voicing their own echo chambers. I try to ignore that nonsense. 1
Mark Vader Posted September 10 Posted September 10 This is horrible. His poor wife and children. There are sick twisted people out there. 2 1
MJS Posted September 10 Posted September 10 So barbaric and evil. He was just 31. Left behind a beautiful wife and two young children. 1 1
SoonerBillsFan Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Im not allowed on this forum, or any other, what I want to. This has to end,and I dont give a damn how.

Just 40 days ago, Minnesota Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband were assassinated and the story has basically already vanished from the national consciousness. 3

Is empathy a lost feeling? God forbid they have a loved one with an opinion and end up dying for it. Im truly scared for my kids and their kids (if they ever have any) Edited September 10 by Goin Breakdown 3
Brand J Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Yeah, it doesn’t matter how opposed to his views I was, no one deserves to die for their beliefs. Predictably it’s turned political AND racial on social media, divisiveness continues to thrive. 1
DuckyBoys Posted September 11 Posted September 11 RIP prayers for his young family Totally disgusted by people celebrating someone being brutally killed for having different views than theirs This country's been in deep trouble for a long time We continue to trend in the wrong direction
Low Positive Posted September 11 Posted September 11 This needs to be moved to the political forum so you guys can yell at each other in a place where I don't have to know that it even exists. I just want one space on the Internet where I can look at football news and escape the horror show that is the world in the 21st century. 1 1 2
