Do you guys thing Josh was saying "Have more faith in me" or "Have more faith in the Buffalo Bills"?

Obviously Josh isn't addressing any of us individually, hes speaking broadly about the 20k+ people that left the stadium early. And he is clearly saying "Don't sleep on the Buffalo Bills".

The idea of getting into the weeds about "what about my specific situation" in relation to "I wasn't leaving because of YOUUUU, Josh" is weird.

I think it's weird how many people who weren't at the game are criticizing those of us who were.

And I also think Josh can say whatever he wants, but I'm honestly still pissed at Joe Brady for what I sat through in that 2nd and 3rd quarter.

Am I supposed to show my ticket stub or something before I comment? I was there. Lol.

I know that's the popular version... of what went on there. I know a lot of people like to believe that. I wish I could, but I was there. I wasn't here in a classroom... hoping I was right, thinking about it. I was up to my knees in rice paddies... with guns that didn't work, going up against Charlie... slugging it out with him, while people like you... were back here partyin', puttin' headbands on... doin' drugs, listening to the goddamn Beatle albums!

I won't judge. People have obligations.

Work, kids in school, etc.

That being said, I'm making sure my Monday is totally free from work if I'm attending the last opening day in what I remember as Rich Stadium.

We left early.  I would typically stay until the end of any game but when my dad asked if we were good with beating the traffic it was hard to say no.  We were in the lot at noon, its 40-25, the Bills had just punted it back to the Ravens, Henry is closing in on 200 yards and the Bills have shown no indication that they can even slow the Ravens down.  Didn't feel like the time to ask him to double our drive time back to the hotel for a less than 1% chance of winning.

If a bunch of guys who watched from their couch say this makes me a bad fan I guess I'll have to own it.

I left the same time you did, for the same reason. My dad (getting up there in years) wanted to leave after the Henry TD made it 40-25 so that we could beat the traffic on our drive back to Rochester. I convinced him to stick out 1 more drive and to stay if the Bills scored, but then we punted with 9 minutes left in the game. Couldn't justify sticking this one out when my dad was already exhausted from the long day and it felt like we had 1% chance of winning.

It's nothing short of miraculous that our DEF forced two 3 and outs and a fumble after that. We had only forced 1 punt (and no turnovers) on the Ravens first 9 drives.

...go to the next home game and have fun.

I'm with Sal on this.  The only people criticizing the fans who left early are fans who didn't even go in the first place.

It's tough ask to stay up late in OP on a Sunday night.  I couldn't even handle it in my bedroom in North Buffalo.  I shut it down at 40-25 and turned over.  Woke up to a very nice surprise this morning.

We are not the ones embarrassing the team and fanbase on National TV.

That is what makes the comeback so insane.  Everyone was fooled.  It was like 2 completely different games played by different opponents from the first 51 minutes than the last 9 minutes.  The Ravens were moving the ball at will.  Dick Jauron seemed to be running our offense from above.

While I did leave, and lost the gamble majorly, if i was watching at home I 100% would have kept watching.

I was there. The filtering out with started with about 10 minutes left in the 4th. It was bonkers. Dare I say bordering on disrespectful.

It is 2 possessions and we have Josh Effing Allen.

The only way I can explain it is that

1. The primetime game always seems to always draw a totally different crowd. Almost like people are there because of the nationally televised game, not the match up itself.

2. It is possible we have become soft in our successes. In 2010 we would have more people sticking around to boo this team off the field than we did to stick around to cheer for the comeback. I don't buy the "well it was late" narrative. I am a season ticket holder, and this exodus was something I haven't seen in quite some time and we have had primetime games. These people aren't leaving if the score was reversed (and held), the stadium would have roared the team off the field.

Anyways, for a fan base that gets so much national attention for being "die hards" this was a pretty embarrassing showing on National TV.  If Miami or Jacksonville did this we would have a 96 page thread on what trash fans they are. Be better.

I was a bad dad and took my 15 and 14 year olds to the game with school the next day.  My wife wanted to leave early in the 4th and I said we'd give it one more drive.  Then the Ravens scored using only two plays and I had no leg to stand on and I was pissed too.  As it was, I got us home at 1:00 AM but if we had stayed we would have been stuck in a huge post game traffic jam which was 99% likely to be comprised of pissed off and drunken (some--100% likely) ) Bills fans.   But, I am a generous sort of guy and I will gladly donate $68 to Oishei on behalf of the four of us just as homage to the Football Gods that we were gifted Josh Allen.

If Josh is salty about it, then so am I.  Don't leave games were are losing but not over.  As the man says have some faith.  He never gives up and neither should the fans.

I think those who left the stadium early have already been punished enough for having missed one of the greatest comebacks in history.

In a regular season game one. Whoopee.

Josh gets paid $40 Million per year and doesnt have to take the kids to school and then pick up the work van and open the store at 6AM the following morning. Also, if Josh told you to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge.....

Here's a scorching hot take....

It the grand scheme of things if you left you have ZERO reason to be truly upset, especially if youre lucky enough to go to lots of games.

Yeah it was cool as hell and a great moment. But you didnt miss the Bills win the Super Bowl, or get to one. You didnt miss some historic moment like a player setting a record of some sort. This was not "The Comeback" in the playoffs.

You missed the end of a really nice comeback win in Week ONE of the season. Nothing more, nothing less. And if youre blessed enough to go to lots of games, youve seen a TON of "moments" like what went down and youre on schedule to witness a ton more.

So rest easy....and next time book the babysitter for an extra hour :).

It was a scoragami and no team has ever in history come back from a 15 pt deficit with whatever amount of time and won in regulation.

Literally never happened before in history and the ravens also were the first team with i think it was 40 pts and more than 225 or whatever threshold of rushing yards that they met...but sure...

This comparison might be equivalent if by continuing to watch the game until its conclusion you knew you would be forced to go get in your car and drive laps around your neighborhood at 1 mph for the next 2.5 hours.

My comment was in reference to people saying that was just what happens normally at night games...which people do leave all the time to beat traffic...I dont think this was about...

this is like someone going to a phish show, not liking the set list and being annoyed and then leaving before the encore when they normally stay and having them do some crazy rare thing or a super extended amazing set list where the first letter of each song spells some weird inside joke.

And I've gotten stuck for hours after a Great Woods show outside of boston cause we parked in that back lot by accident, definitely should have left before that encore in retrospect, lol...and I heard traffic outside the stadium was exceptionally bad before the game too

I'm not judging people, just saying that the people who are saying that people left early was just how people leave during night games all the time...nah that's not what it was, people were mad

No disrespect - but hard disagree here.  Josh didn't throw anyone under the bus, and quite honestly Fitzpatrick said it perfectly.

Love ‘em both … but we as fans don’t live in their world
