It has been interesting to see how many reactions to the game are focusing on how the Ravens managed to lose the game.  Not a lot of effort is given to crediting the Bills for their comeback.  Does it seem so to you?

Right. And how did the Ravens manage to lose the game? Because the Bills managed to win it.

I literally just came here to post something similar.  There's a lot of hypocrisy in how people are evaluating this game.

The Ravens were world beaters through 3 quarters and the Bills didn't deserve to be on the same field as them.  Yet, when the Bills game back, it's because the Ravens fell apart, not because the Bills started to play to their potential with MVP at the helm.

To me, both teams had up and down moments.  McD said the team was overhyped in the first half and the defense settled down in the second half.  I also think Josh took the fans leaving early personally.

End of the day, sometimes stats and history are out the window when you have two great teams go against each other. They could play tomorrow and the Ravens could win 3-0.

However, when it comes to the Ravens vs Bills, it seems like people can't give credit to both teams.  It has to be one was bad or one was great.

If you're someone who continually tries to diminish Allen's accomplishments (looking your way, KC fans) - the Ravens lost it.

If you're a fan of the game, the Bills dug deep, took advantage of 4th quarter mistakes and pulled out one of the most miraculous comebacks in ages.

The bills don't win if Henry doesn't fumble but Josh and the O played lights out! I'd say both.

I agree.  It would be nice if they gave a little more credit to the Bills though.

Both are true.  In Week 1, when an NFL game is played, unless there's a tie, one team goes 1-0.  That is the team that won the game.  The second team goes 0-1.  That is the team that lost the game.

All they talk about is bad coaching, playcalling etc...some of these guys just can't deal with the fact Josh Allen is flat out better. How many times does this have to happen before they realize it.

But the reality is, for 3.5 quarters Josh wasnt better. Or at least the Bills offense wasnt better. Until the Ravens coaching decided to focus on killing the clock, get too conservative, and changed their defense which is exactly what allowed Josh to hit Palmer and Coleman on those 2 plays.

How many times have we been on the losing end of games like this?!?........whether the Ravens lost or the Bills won, i'll gladly take it.

Outside of the occasional non contest or blowout I’d say we;

Won, you still have to make the plays no matter what is handed to you by the other squad.

Mistakes are made, it’s what you do with the opportunity that’s the difference between a W & L.

we don't win if coleman doesnt catch a tipped ball

we don't win if hamilton's hand is like 1" to the right on the fg block

we might not win if jaire alexander doesnt catch coleman's shoelace

if that game gets played 100x i think we win maybe once 😂😂

I agree-  luckily for us, “that game” will never be played again.  Some personnel will be different in the ensuing game.  Play calls will be different.  Guys making clutch plays will be different.  Ref calls will be different.

If we played 10 times, I think the Bills win 6-7 because we have Josh Allen, jmo.  We are better at finding ways to win and they are better at finding ways to lose

Anytime a seemingly narrow margins comeback happens the team letting up the lead has to make mistakes. But the team making the comeback also has to be good enough to capitalize on those mistakes. Josh is that dude plain and simple. If you leave the window open a crack he can make it work.

Those of us old enough to remember the Bills going 0 for the 1970s against Miami will remember several games where the Bills really should have won, but they always choked.  The Dolphins were inside the Bills heads and the coaches and players always froze in the close games, handing wins to the Dolphins.

I think the Bills are now firmly inside the Ravens' heads.  By the middle of the fourth quarter, the Ravens started coasting.  Harbaugh could have gone for it on 4th and 3 and thank God he didn't, but he was thinking about not losing instead of winning.  Henry was incredible but he fumbled for the second time since the first Trump administration (I think it's been that long), a move that multiple Bills would have pulled during the Miami loss streak.

The mental part goes back to the playoff game where Taron Johnson intercepted Jackson with the Ravens poised to tie the game.  Johnson's pick six from our own end zone is still rattling around in Jackson's brain.  Aside from that there was a recent regular season game in Baltimore where the Ravens kicked butt in the first half, but couldn't do anything right in the second half, and the Bills won.  That game is rattling around in Harbaugh's brain.

The game when the Bills finally broke the curse and beat the Dolphins came at a game at Rich where things broke so much right for the Bills that they couldn't lose, and the players and coaches just played great and didn't freeze or choke.  There was such a celebration after that game that the fans tore down the goalposts.

In the movie Seabisquit the trainers for Seabisquit told the jockey to give up the lead to the big horse he was racing against, but then to take it back, which would break the other horse's heart.  Games like these where the Bills keep pulling wins away, are going to do a number on the mental state of the Ravens players and coaches.

I don't know how coincidental it is they the Ravens always seem to make a critical mistake. That seems to be how they're at this point. Major credit to the Bills for being in position to capitalize on that if and when it occurred.

We definitely won. 95% of NFL teams would’ve been cooked after the final Henry TD. We weren’t.

That said, despite the untimely fumble, I can’t help but dream about what sort of team this would be had we signed Henry. I think a lot of people thought he would hit the dreaded RB wall beyond the age of 30. He doesn’t look like he’s slowing down at all.

Let's be real, the Ravens blew it.

They couldn't give an inch and they did.  After the fumble, the scrappy Bills did the rest and didn't allow them to recover.

Buffalo deserves all the credit in the world for playing till the end, but Baltimore had no business losing that game.
