Miyagi-Do Karate Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago KC kind of figured this out, and now we can’t run it. Don’t think we were successful a single time last night. Tried going left, then way left, and then right— nothing worked. They need to re-think this play. 2 Quote
WEATHER DOT COM Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago They never ran a tush push. They ran some QB sneaks. 2 Quote
DapperCam Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Our short yardage plays were bad all night. They need to figure something out there. 2 2 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I really don’t want them doing it. Allen does not need the wear and tear. we have three excellent backs. I hope they completely get away from running it except in really unique situations 1 Quote

HomeskillitMoorman Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Short yardage was brutal. Whether we tried to run, QB "sneaks" or whatever some of those were, and the 2pt calls. Lot of work to be done there. There is definitely a lack of creativity on these plays. These are plays that should be fun for an OC, especially 2nd and short when we're at midfield or something, the whole playbook is open. 1 Quote

BillMafia716ix Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Philly executes it perfectly. Jalen Hurts also squats like 600lbs Quote
Einstein Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It seems to take Brady an insufferably long amount of time to figure out that a play is not working and he needs to stop calling it. Exhibit one: WR screen Exhibit two: QB sneak 1 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We are like 2 of our last like 6 attempts going back to KC last year. I'm not sure what's going on. It used to be like 98%. 1 Quote
henry jones Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The rush to the line on short yardages and either sneak or hand off doesn't work in the NFL like it would in high school. We got burned a few times on it last night. They (Brady) need to get a little more creative. Quote

It used to be like 98%. KC figured us out. Basically alignment and slanting. Going left isnt working because of this. Couple options: 1. We need a better "alternative"/run check to a back if they align like this OR playaction 2. We need to get more creative ourselves - ie start in the gun and then move to under center. 3. Another sneak option - ie: align in the gun and motion Knox/someone else under center. This to me is most risky option though. We have a great trio of pass catching backs. Best option is how the Chiefs run it. They have 3-4 options in one alignment run a quick dive to a FB, lead iso to the tailback, qb sneak (which they basically never do), or plyaction and boot mahomes. We should be trying to get more boots with Josh - We saw how easy it worked for his walk in TD. Quote
cage Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Can anyone explain, why this team hasn't learned the Shake-Rattle-Rolle play from the SB years as an alternative to Tush Push?? Allen should be able to line up at with two alternative and then make a choice at the line of scrimmage. The S-R-R was just as unstoppable back in the day. If you had two credible alternatives and the D couldn't exclusively sell out to the TP, then there would be positive result close to 100%.... why can't they figure that out?? True if you always go the exact same way pretty easy to figure out I mean play off of that go right, have josh step in then pitch out or something but that is like giving the other team your play book if you ALWAYS run to the left just saying ... 1 Quote
ngbills Posted 29 minutes ago Posted 29 minutes ago I dont know if our interior OL is really built for that. I know it was successful a lot but much of that is Josh being a big dude. I think teams are getting better at guessing if he will go low or high or just pushing the line back so Josh doesnt even have that option. Quote

Rockinon Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago It's not dead. There are just some defenses that are too stout to try it on. Not everyone has a defense like the Chiefs/Ravens. Some teams you can tell them your doing it and they still can't stop it. Quote
