Offensive line/offense really weren’t that bad considering the opponent even before the Oliver fumble recovery. that was on track to be the best offensive performance against Baltimore we’ve ever had even if the 4th quarter was a little more realistic lol.

Last season we were held under 300 yards both times (under 250 even the first time), 2022 was a similar but lesser game where the ravens turning it over late opened the door and we did all our damage down the stretch, 2021 afc divisional we were held under 250 yards again, 2019 we almost got held under 200 yards, 2018 we almost got held under 150 yards 😂 but that was Nate peterman days.  They have bottled up the downfield passing game with pretty much any combination of WRs we’ve ever had

First quarter Spencer Brown was blown back a few times, schnow was pushed around also. Josh was hurried many times.

Defensive line wasn’t getting great pressure and let Henry run wild…although linebackers weren’t helping.

Both sides of the line looked slow and overpowered at times.  That being said they did tighten up later in the game.  But they gotta be ready out of the gate, be the bullies.

Important game and they needed to be playing their best from the opening kickoff.  And honestly? Do you think we win if Bass is kicking?

I think it was probably something like this... the dude embraced and loves this city and it's fanbase because of this. He is constantly praising how awesome the fans are. They hit some adversity today and it probably hurt him a bit that 2/3rds of the stadium had just up and left because of that adversity. It would be like if you were in a relationship with your wife and you are constantly praising how she is always there for you and how much she loves you, but then one day you lose your job and she just up and leaves you because of it.

I agree with this.  Josh was disappointed mafia didn't believe.

Oh yea I think my point is more…we’re comparing these things to an average nfl game and saying they went badly..  but the ravens do those same things to us every single meeting to an even larger degree which is super important contextually.

I can’t remember the offense even looking decent in any of the other wins against Baltimore…the second best statistical game we had a dreadful first half.  They normally hold us around 250 total yards and we get embarrassed in the trenches.

It was whatever. I'm going by what people at the game said and what I seen on TV. There were a lot of empty seats. Pardon me if I didn't accurately count each individual to make a scientific analysis of it.

No one is mad at you, lol. But there is a big difference saying 2/3rds, which would be what, 45,000 out of 65,000 people leaving, versus the more likely 25%

haha its not getting to me. we're just discussing it on the message board today. 1-0 and first place in the division and conference! And loving the way our schedule looks the next 6 games!

@Johnnycage46 i get what you're saying but this is also a message board to obsessively talk about our favorite team so us talking about the bills bringing up any conversation topics possible is what DrD is doing.

trust me, its better than wondering if we should have started Brohm last night or wondering why Langston Walker didn't perform last night moving as slow as molasses.

True.

Had an interaction with a Ravens fan last night. Walked by and I said “Go Bills”… He retorted with something about the loss last year.  I replied “playoffs!”.

Thing is, yeah we’ve run into a few wood chippers in the regular season that have kept us from what I believe is the most important step towards the Super Bowl, and that’s the number one seed.

This year we need to be great on all facets, all games with no let downs.  Can’t have another game playing like we did the first half last night. You are correct that Baltimore is a very good team and they outplayed us. Just can’t let that happen if we want the one seed.

And yet the chiefs always seem to have the answer to that question. Maybe not this year…

I’m looking crazier by the year repeating this over and over and if we’ve got our most important defensive players and still lose I will eat the largest crow imaginable 😂. But the chiefs have had absolutely silly levels of injury luck against us…they have been obscenely healthy by playoff standards the last two years and we have lost the most important guy on our defense early in the game against them or the week before in an area without a lot of depth in back to back years it’s absolutely nuts. Two matchups ago we actually had decent LB depth but they pretty much all got injured against pit it was absurd.   I really think God is a chiefs fan haha

like the alternative where the bills have that injury advantage just for illustration purposes the bills would be very healthy and the chiefs would be missing Chris jones

they really exploited benford going down last year then got exposed by philly imo…don’t think they’re in the superbowl without that injury

What a win! I chalk the first halfg up to a preseason game for both teams.

Second half was more realistic. That was a dogfight!

Credit The Bills for making the appropriate adjustments during the game. BIG WIN BABY and we will only get better!

Balt is a TOUGH team. I'm sure we will see them again in the playoffs.

Our receivers looked amazing!

Our pass rush looked very good - great things to come this season for sure. Thanks BOSA!!!

Hopefully our safeties can get in tune. Gonna be a good year!

A lot of fans left, and the play improved dramatically.  Clearly Josh noticed large amounts of fans leaving.

This is actually kind of important to understand Josh's reaction.  If 90% of the stadium left and it was crickets in the stadium, no one would question Josh wondering what in the world was going on.  If only 10% of the stadium left, Josh doesn't even notice.

Somewhere in between those two extremes is a line where Josh, who believes and is fighting to win on the sideline, looks up and notices and is rankled by it.

Honestly, if 2/3 left, I don't blame him for calling it out.  Also, I doubt as many leave if this is a 1:00 game.

I had to be up at 330am this morning as my dad is having open heart surgery. I went to bed at half time with mixed feelings. Of course I woke up and had to look at my phone. It was right after the Keon TD. I couldn't watch on TV would have woken the house but watched through play by play on The Score. I saw the Henry fumble and recovery and thought that's when we'd tie in with the TD and 2 pter. Shocked at missing the 2 pter and amazed we held them to the 3 and out after. Then seeing us easily march down the field to get in FG range. I got nervous though as on 3rd down with 24 seconds left, after it finished it said Josh kneeled down and was no clock and game ended with us down 2. I was mentally screaming what happened? And was super angry. Then it happened ,the app fixed it self and showed final play of Prater's FG was good. I was so happy but sad I couldn't see it live. I'm DVRing the NFL network to watch once out of hospital.
