there was no reason for notre Dame to plummet given their close 2 loses to Miami and A&M, now you have Texas and Penn stste voted out of top 25 after their loses to Florida and ucla respectively on the road. They both lost close games to top 3 teams also.

Well legit in college football has different levels 

 

Are they a legitimately good team? Yes

 

Are they a top four team who could win the college football playoff? Probably not

 

But crazier things have happened... Indiana is a low-key good football state.. but they're talent gets passed around from Notre Dame the top dog, Indiana Hoosiers, Purdue and Ball State 

 

That's a small state with four division one football programs 

 

Then all the big dogs like Ohio State and Michigan want the best player from Indiana 

 

Which makes it hard to keep the best in talent home all the time 

 

If they can get their brand stronger and win Indiana consistently it will be good long term

Big game tonight, South Florida at North Texas. North Texas is 5-0 and at home against the team everyone presumes will be the non Power 5 school. 
 

North Texas, in my opinion, has a future high draft pick in Drew Mestemaker who is a redshirt freshmen. It’s his first time on national television but he has all of the ability in the world

He has a lot to grow and learn before he's a top pick 

 

Solid start to the season but there are plenty and plenty of young quarterbacks who have one or two good college seasons and flame out for the rest

My family has some huge Penn State fans, so there should be a soft spot for that team in my heart. However, I’ve never done such a 180 on a sports team in my life. Just as I was beginning to come back around, they hire Franklin. The guy loses and comes across as completely unlikable. I know many fans feel similarly, so I don’t know how they can stick with him much longer.

This season has been a disaster.  Franklin may not survive this.  I respect what he has done with the program in getting them back to a state of perennial paper contenders who can't beat a top 10 team and feast on lesser competition.  But now they're losing to lesser teams and have no answers on either side of the ball.  Looks like the kids have quit on him.

I will watch a lot of games of teams with no rooting interest and the officials are terrible right now. They call ticky tack crap and miss obvious things, I have no idea what PI is, no idea what is targeting, and no idea what is holding in half the games. They ruin the flow of the game, and then don't even get things right with video replay. I know each conference has different refs but they need to fix it because it is too often a terrible product right now.

Hopefully yesterday was the nail in the coffin for him.  That program is stuck until he's gone

Give IU's DC Bryant Haines a big shout out as well.  Masterful plan of stunts and blitzes to keep Oregon's O line and QB off-balance.  Smaller, intelligently attacking D.  Something I wish McDermott would consider.
