BarleyNY Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Audric Estimé getting waived by Denver was probably the most surprising to me. 1 Quote

One of the best. Very surprising that he hasn’t made a team. You just know Bill Bellichick would’ve grabbed this guy to pair with Brady. 1 3 Quote

Mat68 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago None. Strange is funny being Bill’s last 1st rounder with the Pats. Mcvay saying the Rams scouted him for pick 101 on draft night is never not funny looking back. 1 Quote

Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, a chronic autoimmune disease which causes inflammation and sores in the large intestine. It cause him to lose weight and experience fatigue, which is typical for those dealing with the illness. He didn’t play last season due to this, but he was apparently doing well this preseason in his comeback attempt. 1 2 Quote
Captain Hindsight Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Not surprising, but the Jets cutting Malachi Corley (3rd round pick last year) was funny He finished his career with 3 catches for 16 yards Quote

As an ND fan, it was disappointing but not all that surprising. He doesn’t bring much as on third down and zero on special teams. If you’re not a lead back you better have some value here Quote

If you’re not a lead back you better have some value here I think he would benefit more from a Power scheme versus what Payton runs in Denver. He's a high 4.5's guy so there is not much breakaway speed there. He does run tough though. Maybe Seattle, or Indy. Quote

I don’t know if playing football would irritate it or not, but I do think it would be very difficult for him to keep his weight at a good level over the course of a season unless it is (and stays) well under control. dpberr Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I was a little surprised Dustin Hopkins was cut for a kicker who's rarely kicked outdoors. Had a rough 2024 (66.7%) but was 90% plus in 2021, 2022 and 2023 and is 84% overall for his career. Maybe that injury changed things. Szymt has done most of his kicking in domes in Syracuse and St. Louis (with the Battlehawks). Edited 1 hour ago by dpberr Quote

Jistafan Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Looking at these responses pretty much confirmed what i could find as well. Really no veteran cuts for cost savings, which happened quite often in past. Basically zero so far… Quote

Don't quote me, but his catch rate was ridiculous (maybe 80%+), along w amazing success rate. But, as @BarleyNY mentioned, he had serious health issues, along w injuries in '22 season. Too bad: the kind of "not the best athlete but great technician" player that one can easily root for. Quote

Wasn't that an issue with a Bills player a few years back? I seem to remember an offensive lineman struggling with this and, in particular struggling to keep weight up. Thought it was a Bills player...but my memory on it is very hazy. Quote
