He might be right that this approach produces more wins, at least in the regular season, but it's deeply frustrating to watch. He doesn't seem to grasp, or somehow rationalizes away, that this means his pass rush is much less likely to get home. Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather see our defense completely crush their opponents while giving up the occasional big play than watch them play pitch and catch hoping they drop the ball at some point. At the very least, he should change it up in the playoffs. How much evidence does he need that playoff teams feast on soft cushions and don't make the mistakes that he counts on them to make? The cushion, whether ordered by coaches or chosen by players themselves, may be to compensate for lack of athleticism. Quote

unbillievable Posted Sunday at 01:10 PM Posted Sunday at 01:10 PM (edited) Replay of event: 1. Davidson gives an extra shove after the whistle. 2. Sanders responds by yanking on Davidson's facemask, pulling him by the helmet for 5 yards. 3. Davidson responds by shoving "blocking" Sanders as he is being dragged. 4. Sanders punch-slaps Davidson in the helmet. 5. Ref ejects Sanders. Shilo Sanders career in the NFL is over. Edited Sunday at 01:13 PM by unbillievable 1 Quote

stevewin Posted Sunday at 01:23 PM Posted Sunday at 01:23 PM Just watched the compressed replay - Aside from the obvious plays, Walker also really impressed with the way he chased down plays past the LOS. A lot of the time a lineman will jog after the play and not get involved in the tackle. He was routinely hustlng after the ball and sticking his head in there - Thought Buechele did a good job all things considered. He showed an ability to improvise and extend plays which White totally lacks - It was funny watching some of the fringe skill players being thrown on ST coverage - "show us what you can do" - and being totally out of their element and some obviously wanting no part of initiating contact 1 Quote

I was not at all good with the similar Kelce/Rousseau sequence in the Divisional Round loss. I may be in a small minority here but I'm lukewarm on Groot... he has a lot to prove... at least to me. Good for you. I have a toddler who is sick and a 7 month pregnant wife. So no, I don’t have time to read 30 pages. But I’m sure snarky comments like this make you feel good. Sorry my request for a quick recap hurt your fragile feelings. Way to keep the board safe by yelling at another “grown up” for asking for a quick recap. You’re doing great, bud. 4 1 3 1 Quote

Sounds like the massive pressure of being a moderator on football message board is getting to you. Apologies again that my request for a recap of 30 pages broke some unwritten rule. Again, keep up the great work of keeping the board safe from such horrific requests. A+ job, Simon. 2 Quote

A message board comments is not reading. At no point in life have I read 30 pages of drivel on a message board and I have been on different boards for around 20 years. And if he has a wife who is knocked up and a sick toddler he probably does need some sleep. You must not be a parent? 1 1 Quote
