If you think they were going to cut their 2nd round pick (who they traded up for) you’re nuts

I'm talking about Shilo Sanders- 6th 7th rounder

I think it’s more like how do you keep Samuels over Shavers, Hamler, or Moore. He’s always injured and is a glorified gadget player

They are going to keep 6 because shakir is already hurt and samuel has been hurt all camp.

once they are all healthy I bet samuel is on a short leash.  If he doesn't get healthy and contribute right away they may need his roster spot because of injuries in the secondary.

Samuels is going to be kept simply because its a terrible contract to let go of.  imagine everybody but Brady wants him gone.

Keep the best players period. Shavers earned it and Moore and Hamler have speed and ability to separate all the other WRs don’t have so one of them is making it and the other PS hopefully

Shavers has to be a roster lock now, right??

I’m sure.  I mean i’ve seen Beane and McD a few times this preseason give praise to Shavers and that was before this sick catch

Great catch. He's had a good game even with the early drop

Even on the drop he had an excellent release to get open. So still a positive rep despite the drop. The two guys that look a step above the opponent's 2s tonight are Walker and Shavers.

Like I don't want to overreact but this is top 10 pick type of stuff

I just came here to rave about this kid. Never want to overreact to preseason but for a rookie he's been really impressive. Always seems to be in the QB's face getting his hands up. Also some impressive chases, not giving up on the play and has helped out on a couple open field tackles
