Whoever the best safety is. Right now we have plenty of depth and no glaring weaknesses. Even Super Bowl teams have weakest links. If I had to pick one, ours would be safety.

Now, everyone might say receiver, but remember who broke the all time bills scoring record in a single season, the 2024 bills, with no true #1 WR.

Yeah, but then imagine what that group would have done with a true number 1. It'd be stupid how good the offense would be. It kinda irks me that the front office hasn't done something to put us over the top, but I am hoping that they do indeed do something in that regard before the trade deadline this year, be it a WR or defense.

I would choose either Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry. Our defense needs significant improvement to effectively contend against top-tier quarterbacks, one player isn’t going to make a difference, so we must control the clock and score as much as possible.

How many of our playoff games would we have lost scoring 44?

Depends on the flow of the game. If we score 44 and the opposing team is within scoring distance and has time left. Bills lose

Ja'Marr Chase.   Just go outscore everyone.

Thats what the Bengals have been trying to do and can’t make the playoffs.

That’s the Dolphins keep trying to do and haven’t done better than the 6th seed, missed playoffs last year, and never won a playoff game.

That’s what the Pats tried and did better than any team in history until they lost to Eli Manning and the meh Giants.

That’s what the Manning led Broncos tried and set the new record as best to do it ever until they got blown out by a run first offense with a game manager 2nd year QB.

It’s the not the solution people think it is.  Someone already said the correct answer - IMHO Miles Garrett.

we need a true game wrecker on defense that can make impact plays on the QB.  i dont have a name,  but a hall of fame caliber EDGE or DT thats so disruptive the other teams have to gameplan for him.  Von was our one shot and he looked the part until the injury hit him. you need to get to Mahomes, Lamar and Burrow.  you cant sit back and play coverage and hope to beat them consistently.

TJ Watt does a good job of taking down his AFC North QBs (that you mention) consistently

If the Bills could make one trade, and not give up any core players, that would guarantee us a Super Bowl victory, who would it be?

Would it be someone on offense like Justin Jefferson?

Would it be someone on defense like Aaron Donald or Chris Jones?

Would it be a player that we might not need, but would hurt the other team like Patrick Mahommes?

Is there no such player that would guarantee a trophy?

What say you?

Assuming Beane solved the pass rushing issues this offseason, I’m gonna go with Pat Surtain ll.

a true shutdown corner would help the pass rushing issues even more.
