Depressed especially when you consider Allen plays well in the playoffs.

It's tough. The annoying part is most of these people don't go in-depth into why this has happened when it's all incredibly clear.

But yeah, best player we've ever had and his entire 20's are blown if we don't get there this year.

One can only dream of the heights Josh would have already reached with a competent coach on the sidelines. The guy has the restraint of a Buddhist monk with how he doesn't walk into mcdumbass's office and beat the crap out of him.

More in the media have been calling McDermott out. Maybe it will get to the point where Terry does something about that. Not that I expect it will happen anytime soon.

Our defensive philosophy is dogs*t.   Good playoff QBs will continue to carve up our soft zone defense no matter how much money and draft picks we throw at it.   Good QBs like mahomes and burrow will get rid of the ball quick enough to make pass rush irrelevant regardless of how much we invest in DL talent, especially when guys are playing 8 yards off the ball behind it.

We either need a change in defensive philosophy or just go all in on getting Josh Allen more weapons.

Maybe McDermott gives up control of the defense and hires a DC with a completely different style of defense from McDermott's. I wish Terry would insist Sean does this. Like you said his defenses have been getting torched in the playoffs and I don't see it changing unless the Bills can finally get pressure on the QB with their front 4 and also do a better job against the run. Hoping all the moves Beane made to fix this pay off. The season is basically riding on it along with continued great play from #17.

It shows how bad the TEAM, Esp the DEFENSE, has been

This exactly. The defense can have all the regular season flowers they want, but until they step up in the playoffs it’s repeated failure. Last year was maybe the worst (Ok 13 secs was the worst) as KC’s offensive line was a mess. I really thought we could blow them out with our offense and just good defensive line play. Whether it was the game plan or just lack of execution, another failure on that side of the ball. Philly showed it in the Super Bowl. I’m disappointed that wasn’t  us.

I think we all feel the same pain for Allen. He has been nothing but spectacular.

I don't think that'll be enough. It's going to be up to Josh walking into Terry's office and asking for it. I don't think that's impossible as I do think everyone has their breaking point. But I also don't think that's something that comes naturally to him.

I have previously thought and said that would absolutely never happen...I now think if we go 0-5 vs them in the playoffs and they torch our defense once again...it's happening.

Well if you take into consideration he may be one of the only winningest QB's in NFL history that not only to play against the opponent but had to play against the officiating crew & quite possibly the NFL it self, due to the fact that they wanted the golden child to be the first QB to win 3 Super bowls in a row I'm thinking that he would have played in the big game last year if the BS was pushed aside but then again maybe that's just me .

Bitter - NAH - PO'D - HELL TO THE YAH ...

But I feel this will be the Bills year of redemption ... GO BILLS !!!!!

If they can get by the Ravens. The AFCW is stronger this year. I hope someone takes the division from KC. I am tired of the Chiefs getting the #1 seed most years. This year I do think the Ravens will be the Bills biggest challenge in the playoffs.

Josh can’t get us there alone and we’ve all seen how his supporting cast, from teammates to coaches, have let him down. This is why enjoying the journey is paramount.

It would be so Buffalo-like if Allen defies all these odds and becomes the one outlier to never make a Super Bowl. Yes, I realize it is not his fault, it’s that defense the coach can’t seem to get right when it matters. It’s also offensive players letting him down in crucial moments when there’s a play to be made (Dawkins, Diggs, Sherfield, Kincaid).

This will be the narrative for decades if they don't get it done soon.  You can thank Beane and McDermott for this epic failure, although most of you praise him for his glorious regular season record
