EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Bills @ Bears on Sunday, August 17th @ 8:00pm on FOX The Bills will travel Thursday to Chicago for a joint practice Friday. I imagine it will be a light week leading up to this scrimmage and the game. Will any of the injured guys return? Will Allen make an appearance? Go Bills! 1 Quote
Gregg Posted August 12 Posted August 12 I am guessing Allen gets a series maybe two. Usually nobody plays in the last preseason game so the starters might get some playing time in this one. The most important thing is no injuries. The Bills have already had enough of that in TC. Quote
Mat68 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 I give Allen all the joint practice reps and sit him out the preseason game. Maybe an appearance vs Tampa. ( I’m going to that game). 1 Quote

eball Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Perhaps this means we’ll be seeing a report of a new contract soon… 1 Quote

Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Tremaine Edmunds was proofed for age when buying a beer at a Lake Forest, Illinois 7-11. A second photo ID was required. 🙁 2 Quote

Personally, I'm all for keeping Jimmy...just not at what he's been asking. Hard to justify that kinda money when the dude often comes out on 3rd down/passing downs because Ray and Ty are better blockers. But if the deal looks like something similar to what Kyren Williams just got then I think most of us Bills fans would be happy with that. During the McBeane era they've kinda always cycled thru running backs. Singletary was alright but didn't seem like someone imperative to re-sign. Zack Moss fizzled out. They'd sign vets like Gore or Chris Ivory or Matt Breida, TJ Yeldon, etc for RB2 or whatever but none of those dudes ever really broke out like Cook did. At this point I think Cook is the best back they've had during the McBeane times and I think he's worth re-signing. 1 2 1 Quote

Clearly there is a dropoff in the running game when he's not out there. 2 1 Quote

Best since Shady and it isn't close. Motor gave us a little pop but Cook is the first gamebreaker at the position since McCoy. 3 5 Quote

Yes, it’s very easy to replace a guy who averages over 5 yards per carry. He has averaged that most of his career. High 4’s to 5. Cook is what you want in modern day football. Doesn't need 20-30 carries. With Allen that would never be the case. Need a guy to punish the defense when they schematically are vulnerable while trying to stop Allen. 3 Quote
