BuffaloBillyG Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago First game with live reps. What position battle or player are you most focusing on today? For me, on defense, I want to see how our pass rushers look. Let's see Landon Jackson show up. He's had a quiet camp. Maybe he's just a fella that plays better on game day. On offense, I want to see if Ray Davis made some steps in the off season. And the WR battle is always a good one to watch. How about you? 1 1 Quote

You pretty much nailed it for me but I'll add Dorian Strong and Herbie Hancock in the secondary😆 2 Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I was looking at 12:30 thinking how Is there no gameday thread yet lol it’s been 8 months. We can’t let ourselves get complacent here just because we are good. There is going to be a day where this goes back to how it was. We can’t take this for granted. The journey is the destination. It’s a day with Bills football LFG. 3 1 Quote
GolfandBills Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Trubisky will puke all over himself so I’m not really excited to see him attempt to run the offense. I’ll be focused on the defense especially the rookie Dlinemen Edited 4 hours ago by GolfandBills 1 1 1 Quote
Augie Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) I am thrilled to see NFLN has the game live! I thought I’d have to wait and record it in the middle of the night to watch another time. EDIT: I guess the Giants are a big national draw, so I shouldn’t be surprised. 😂 . Edited 3 hours ago by Augie 2 1 Quote
GunnerBill Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Chase Lundt. Backup safeties. Backup LBs. They are the unclaimed roles on the team IMO. 2 2 1 Quote

sven233 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Defensive Line. I'd love to say the WR battle, but it has been proven over the years in preseason that when Allen isn't in there, they don't have the best opportunities to catch the ball. That said, if we get the All-22 for this game like we should, that is a position I will revisit on tape where I can just focus on the release packages of each guy and to see if there is separation being created regardless of the ball getting to them on time. Quite honestly, with no gameplanning, it's tough to judge certain positions. That said, we can watch the offensive and defensive lineman and get a pretty good understanding of who is winning the one on one matchups. You won't see a ton of pulling and misdirection here. The preseason is more about a man whooping another man and the best place to see that is in the trenches. Sanders and Walker got a lot of buzz early in camp for making plays but we didn't hear a ton about them late in camp whereas it was pretty much the opposite for Jackson who we didn't hear of doing much early, but seemed to flash the last few days. I know he was on PUP heading into the start of practices even though he was there from day 1, but I am wondering if it just took him a bit to get back up to speed and that's why we didn't hear from him much early. Regardless, the time is now to show what you have and these are the guys I want to be seeing win one on one matchups. I don't expect to see the starters much, some of the key guys I don't expect to see at all, which should give these young bucks a lot of run today. So, that's where my focus will be today. Much like the WR position I mentioned earlier, going back and taking a look at the safety play later will be interesting too. They just aren't on the screen enough on the TV broadcast to get a true representation as to what is going on there. Edited 3 hours ago by sven233 2 Quote
EmotionallyUnstable Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Josh Allen. Will he be bringing his own smelling salts? What color hat will he wear? Will it be seeds or chewing gum? 1 Quote

Mike White is horrible. He’s not even close to Trubitsky. He sucks. He doesn’t belong in the league. The other guy Buschelle has zero physical ability. I have no clue how a 3rd string QB has not a single attribute that you’d covet. The 3rd string guy should be a rocket arm that you have to teach accuracy to or a runner that you try and make a passer. Why you’d even roster a guy with no skill is beyond me. Most NFL backups are barely capable of being in the league. You can do a lot worse than Mitch. He can run, he knows the offense, he can make throws at a level that’s borderline normal. I’m not saying the guy should be starting for teams, but as a backup…we can do ALOT worse. 1 1 Quote
SCBills Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Keon early, then Shavers to see if he can put together a statement game given his camp hype. Hancock and Strong, specifically Hancock as he’s an intriguing prospect and I’m hoping he can elevate the ceiling at NCB/Safety. The DL. Not just Sanders, Walker and Jackson, but second year Carter and Solomon. Doubt we see much of Oliver, Jones, Epenesa, Rousseau and Bosa. The young guys are the key, along with Hoecht when he comes back, to us getting to the Super Bowl (imo). If these guys hit, this DL has Eagles ‘24 level potential. And say what you want, but Walker was a first round pick after his first year, then second year back issues. If we found a way to mitigate those issues, watch out…. 4 1 Quote
