So.

WR’s: Coleman & Palmer with Moore in the slot.

Could be a look at week 1 starting lineup (minus cook)

Honestly Coleman and Palmer on the outside has been looking like a strong likelihood for a while now

I think that Josh underwent a major mechanics re-set prior to 24.  I remember he talked about how his mechanics got messed up post injury in 22 and he had spend the offseason before 24 getting right again.  This season he can build on that re-set...get back his upward trajectory in his place which will also be helped by being in the Brady system on more year.  There's the potential that he could have an unreal season this year.

Silver lining here… More reps for Forrest(?)

I don’t like that Bishop is hurt for the second straight year, especially considering we invested a 2nd round pick in him, but I am just saying… From the moment we signed him, Forrest Jr. was regarded as one of those guys that might be a pretty special player if he ever got the opportunity.

and in his limited opportunities with the Commanders, he was pretty darn good.

According to Joe B, Jordan Hancock has been more impressive at safety than Forrest, which of course is intriguing and disappointing at the same time.

Three superstars on the team in Allen, Milano, and Benford, and at least six red-chip players: Dawkins, Brown, Shakir, Cook*, Oliver, Bosa (maybe), along with a lot of very good players just below them and others with real potential; plenty of depth. Not a lot of weaknesses. Free safety, maybe. Receivers hardly a team strength, but not a weakness, either.

My only concern at this point, besides Cook being even more stupid than I thought, is McDermott in the playoffs once again facing his mentor. I suspect he'll never overcome whatever is going on, but I have hope that the players know that by now and will carry him. (Or lock him in the locker room.)

Im a guy that has had back surgery…you don’t need to freak out.  He is probably just experiencing some tightness.

My surgeon was the Atlanta Braves team surgeon.  He also met with Jack Eichel and talked about that.

My surgeon told me there is only 7% chance of rupturing the same disk.  If you do, probably at a fusion.  That would be the only concern.

I would swap Dawkins and Benford. I think without a doubt, Deon has been one of the best and most consistent LT in the league.

Feel free to flame away, but I believe that we overrate Benford here. He's a top tier zone CB, but I have yet to see the man skills to shut down any of the top guys. If we're calling him a superstar CB, that has to be part of the equation for me.

I'm somewhat surprised, I thought he was the toast of camp for the first few days. Maybe I'm misremembering.

He was when the pads weren’t on. The pads came on and he was injured a bit, but it doesn’t sound like he’s standing out like he was earlier according to this Mike Rose guy. I do think Moore being in danger of getting cut might be an exaggeration.

My opinion is based on what I see, when he's matched up with top guys. I know there's a place for analytics, but there's is just as much of this type of stuff that I disagree with,  that I agree with.

Across the league, Surtain was the consensus top CB, but according to this he's on par with Benford. That's not what I see when I watch the 2. I saw Chase abuse him the last time we met. Surtain in contrast gave him fits. Just one example.

That being said, I have also seen great improvement in Benford year over year, and who knows, maybe this year he's what you say he is, and reaches that Superstar status. He is having his best camp to date, but we won't know at least for a month plus.

He had some strong showings in OTAs from what I remember but hasn't done much in training camp. He missed a few practices due to injury and just hasn't been consistently making plays with the 1st team offense. I've seen Tyrell Shavers and Kristian Wilkerson brought up more in recent days.

They ask like 10 different ways "how does Cook being out change how you prepare?"

On a side note, can someone explain to me what a "hold in" is? I've only ever heard it be called a hold out.

Dawkins and Spencer Brown are blue chip players. I would put the Bills blue chip players as being Allen, Dawkins, Benford, Brown and possibly Milano. Groot, Oliver, Shakir, Bosa, Torrence, McGovern, James Cook, and Taron are the Firmly very good players in the tier below blue chip.

The roster strength of the Bills is both the insane depth and better than average quality of all units besides the WR core.
