I dunno ... 9-8/10-7 could win that division and the Colts have some good talent. No team in that division is very good. Houston should be favored, but they're hardly a juggernaut.

Houston is going to be excellent.  Their defense is going to be top 3 or top 5.

They have oline issues and no receivers.

The worst part for both of them is their schedule. It’s absolutely brutal.

You’re probably spot on about them cleaning house.

However…

That’s why I’m in the camp of getting Dart in there for them as soon as Russ isn’t showing anything.

Him showing promise, making some plays and leading the team in certain scenarios and games might be the final thread that keeps their jobs on a potentially awful losing season.

The Giants defense, especially their DL, is pretty good.   If they get better QB play, from either Wilson or Dart, they might do better than expected.  I've been impressed with Dart's play.  He seems to have that "it" that separates the good QBs from the merely competent ones.

Yeah, they’ve started slowly the past couple of years and those losses have cost them at the end. As such they’re trying to get everyone ramped up.

Zac Taylor’s on the hot seat and knows he needs to make the playoffs this year or he’s probably gone.

Their slow starts are simply excuses.  They weren't a very good team, despite playing a last place schedule.  They lost to the Commanders 33-38,  the Ravens 38-41, the Ravens again 34-35, and the Steelers 38-44.   Last season, twelve games into the season they were 4-8, meaning they went 4-5 after starting 0-3 before managing to win their last 5 games.

I think that Taylor's toast if the Bengals lose Hendrickson.  Their defense was awful last season (see above), and all they really changed for 2025 was firing DC Anaruno, although they did add some defensive rookies in the draft.

Hate this decision, just run AR and tank for Manning. Don’t get in 6-11 purgatory again.

I'm not sure that the Colts won't get the first pick even with Jones as their QB.  He's pretty bad.   I haven't seen Richardson or Jones play in pre-season, so I don't know how bad they are.  My guess is that it's six of one/half dozen the other.

They have great players on D — elite DEs and elite CBs. I am not sold on their offense, though. I *think* they’re the best team in that division, but they also don’t inspire a ton of faith in me. I thought Stroud, who I like, was fairly mediocre last season. He was great as a rookie. Jax has a lot of talent too, but it just seems like none of the teams can take it to the next level. Then a couple of injuries happen and teams are fighting for a 10-7 division crown.

Is Ryan Stonehouse better than Brad Robbins?

I remember when he was booming punts with the Titans, I thought he was still there. Dude made the all rookie team and was a 2nd team All Pro. Lead the league in punting. I don’t know why he wasn’t tendered by TEN and how he wound up losing the punting battle in MIA. On the surface I would’ve said he’s much better than Robbins, but there has to be a reason why he’s already looking for his 3rd team.

Yeah makes sense. It seems like Robbins has maybe turned a corner here, he’s looked pretty good

Gotta pay attention to which LBs the Rams cut, they’ve got promising depth.

Baldinger on Shaun Dolac

I'm fairly irritated that the Bills didn't end up with Dolac.

I don't know if they tried signing him after the draft but they could have made it a moot point by taking him instead of Kaden Prather.

I understand the team had a need at WR but they also had a need at LB.

Robbins has looked VERY good. I see no reason to mess with that position.

I heard that they will probably start Flacco for the first few weeks due to the gauntlet of a schedule they have. So my guess is Gabriel and Pickett will back him up. Sanders waived, and picked up for someone practice squad.

My guess is that -- even if he is fully healed from his abdominal injury -- the Browns will "hide" Sanders on IR.

Report: Vikings exploring trade options at wide receiver - NBC Sports

The Vikings got Justin Jefferson back on the practice field on Monday, but they have other issues to deal with at wide receiver heading into the regular season.

Jordan Addison is suspended for the first three games of the year, Rondale Moore will miss the entire season with a knee injury, and Jalen Nailor is considered week-to-week after suffering a hand injury. That state of affairs could lead them to look outside the organization for some help at the position.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Vikings are exploring veteran wideouts who may be available in trades leading up to next Tuesday’s deadline to set 53-man rosters around the league.

No deal is believed to be imminent, but talks could pick up as the deadline draws closer and teams begin making final decisions about the players they want to bring into the regular season.

Is Dolac any better than Buffalo Joe?

From what I saw, Jones looked much much better than Richardson. But I think that's more about how bad Richardson is.

I’ve never watched UB football, but posters here have said Dolac was much better than Andreesen.

Nico Collins

Nico is the only proven. And he was hurt some last year. Other than that, they probably in the same situation at WR as the Bills and Stroud is not Allen.
