Gabriel and Sanders - easy choice.  You're not cutting a 3rd round QB year 1.  And Cleveland might burn down if Sanders is cut.

Pickett and Huntley have shown what they are at this point - 2 P/S type QBs.

This is correct. Pickett has been injured the whole training camp so it was never a competition and he is garbage. Question will be do they get a 7th round draft pick or just cut him outright.

Most people think Flacco starts for 4 to 6 weeks and after they start winless they turn it over to the rookies. People forget Flacco sucked last year and when he had his little run with the Browns he led the league in INT/attempt.

No rookie should be talking that kind of smack.

I don’t think that was BBQ he ate.  Looked more like turf and turf.

The Browns just named Flacco as their starter.

Yes, in the Browns QB Derby he edged out Slim Pickins.

If I’m Daboll I pull the plug on Wilson if he doesn’t show much after the first 4 games and insert Dart. Let him play the Saints, wet his feet and go from there.

I agree that 4 games is around the over/under... maybe 3.

As has been discussed, they can't afford to be too patient.

Gabriel= Tua 2.0

Miami was set to draft Gabriel in the 3rd. After the Browns took Sanders in the 5th, the Phins called the Browns about trading for him (Gabriel).

He is actually shorter and smaller than Tua. 5’11” 205# vs 6’1” 225#. But he doesn’t have the injury issues. His height will likely prevent him from ever becoming a full time starter in the NFL. There are very few successful Russell Wilson type QBs out there. But his size was his only flaw as a prospect. If he was 3” taller he’d have been a top 2 pick.

Last night while watching the Bengals - Commanders I was surprised the Bengals played Burrow as long as they did. He was getting hit and sacked a few times as well. I am glad the Bills don't do that with Allen although it probably wouldn't hurt if Josh would get one series in these preseason games.

Yeah, they’ve started slowly the past couple of years and those losses have cost them at the end. As such they’re trying to get everyone ramped up.

Zac Taylor’s on the hot seat and knows he needs to make the playoffs this year or he’s probably gone.

I thought it was a good gamble by the Ravens, but sometimes players are who they are, no matter what jersey they’re wearing and Jaire can’t stay on the field.

The Browns aren't going to be winless 4-6 weeks in. While not a great team, they aren't nearly as bad as the pundits say.

Who of Pickett, Gabriel, Sanders, and Huntley will stay? Certainly no more than 2 of those 4 right?

You also wouldn't think it would be Flacco and two rookies though I guess that's possible.

I heard that they will probably start Flacco for the first few weeks due to the gauntlet of a schedule they have. So my guess is Gabriel and Pickett will back him up. Sanders waived, and picked up for someone practice squad.

Hate this decision, just run AR and tank for Manning. Don’t get in 6-11 purgatory again.

Easy for you to say. Your job is not on the line. A general problem for rebuilding teams is that what’s good for the long term health of a franchise is often at odds with what a HC and GM need to do to keep their very highly-paid jobs.

Na you IR one of the three remaining and keep other 2 on the active roster. Or you just keep all four on the active roster.

I dunno ... 9-8/10-7 could win that division and the Colts have some good talent. No team in that division is very good. Houston should be favored, but they're hardly a juggernaut.
