Billsfed1 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) For me I finally made it to nine eleven tavern. Best wings I’ve ever had by far. Have to get this out of the way…911 was down a cook or two and we were told at the door 90 minutes for wings. If you go there no AC so be warned, and i’d imagine like BarBill these are one of the untouchables on gameday. If ya’ll are watching Sunday Night Football, what’s your go to for the Ravens? I Got Nine Eleven sauce for the wings and probably doing smoked ribs and texas twinkies. Go Bills Edited 3 hours ago by Billsfed1 Quote
Process Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This seems a little premature, no? Regarding nine eleven, they weren't a cook or two down. It's always like that (long wait to get a table/long wait to get food). Place is run terribly. They make you jump through hoops to get their wings (open limited hours, long waits, only take cash, no A/c). They have the dream restaurant business, people lining up out the door for one menu item. Should be the most efficient money making machine in America. But they manage to screw it up to the point where I don't bother going. Rant over. It actually upsets me because like you said they are the best wings I've ever had. Quote

Took two bottles of sauce back to ontario happily Quote

RobbRiddick Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I won't be telling my wife what she's cooking me until the Saturday before the game. I like to keep her guessing Quote

WotAGuy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Are any wings worth a 90-minute wait to get a table? Nope. 1 Quote

The group constantly rates and updates rankings for wings in the city. 911 is only 1 of 5 places in the Tier 1 Elite category. The others, in no particular order, are Bar Bill (original), Kelly’s Korner, Adolf’s and Sonny Red’s. I’m sad that I’ve only been to 2 of those. Quote
LabattBlue Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago No A/C, crazy wait times, cash only…for chicken wings? No thank you. Quote

Personally, as several of you know I live in Tampa the last 35 years, but was born and raised in Hamburg. For me, there is a restaurant in Westchase, a suburb of Tampa, and McDivots wings reminds me of home. So my wife and I will have some garlic hot wings, and a couple of pops. Yes, I still say pop. People from here who know me have asked of I’m from Chicago, and I always respond with no, the real pop land, Buffalo. 1 Quote
EasternOHBillsFan Posted 48 minutes ago Posted 48 minutes ago More like misleading title... I thought it was IN BALTIMORE which made no sense as the game is in Orchard Park! In Baltimore definitely Chap's Pit Beef and Di Pasquale's!!!! Quote

If you’re ever in the Tampa area, the original family owners of Blasdell Pizza daughter of Harry, opened a traditional recipe of Blasdell pizza, wings, etc. opened in Palm Harbor. It tastes like the old Blasdell before they were bought by someone else. They import the ingredients from Buffalo, including the original sauce and pepperoni. One other thing. The restaurant called Mothers around the block from McDivots has one of the two Owners from Buffalo, so they have Beef on Weck and is even better. It’s not cheap, but they use prime rib vs. roast beef. If you ask for it Buffalostyle, they will put horseradish and dill pickles on it on a genuine kimewaerck roll. Quote

I am in the Tampa area... out Brandon way. Duff's is doable by going some back ways but Palm Harbor and that area is a road trip for us lol. Quote

I would say it’s worth it once a year. Load up and freeze it. Us past Buffalonians need to stick together. I was in Brandon for one year, and loved going to O'Brien's for the game. Talk about a Buffalo bar. Quote
