What's funny is them refusing to guarantee the whole contract.  That extra $572k will be held over his head for four years?

Gotta make a stand somewhere to show him who’s the boss

It's the precedent it sets. Guaranteed contacts are something the NFL wants to avoid. But like rust, it's creeping it's way in one contact at a time.

Hope the guy is still around for the full four years. Historically 25% of 2d rounders are not with their original team at the 4 year mark.

Doesn’t that mean that 75% are with their original team at the 4 year mark? I’m not that good at math, isn’t 75% larger than 25%?

Almost fully guaranteed...... guess this will be the new standard going forward.....

I would imagine that this gets ironed out in the new CBA or they even work on a better slotting system before the next CBA. I think the point of a slotting system was to avoid holdouts so if this is causing this much disruption there will be action taken on it

Welcome aboard Mr Sanders!

How long do I need to wait to call him a bust?

72 hours is standard. Similar to the window to cancel a product purchased from a door to door salesperson

Great news!

In my view, he may be the star of this draft for the Bills, with Hairston.

Now just one more contract to get done before training camp... and coming soon.

Cook?  I'd be happy to see it happen

But of the 5 that have reached "2nd contract" point it's 3/5 that have not made it.

I'd include Cook in there because he's going to be here for year 4. It's 50 percent - 3 for 6.

Very Good!! Didn't want to see a holdout over something that will soon be the norm in the NFL. With college football going from amateur to professional status, I envision the first three rounds of draftees receiving fully guaranteed rookie contracts. Who knows, maybe all draftees will get fully guaranteed rookie contracts.

Two other 2nd rounders already got guaranteed contracts.  It wouldn't have broken precedence.

Think he's the rookie I'm most excited for

Potential to be a game wrecker pass rusher from the interior with surprisingly stout run defense for his size.

We’ll see how it translates, but the Bills wanted him bad, and jumped the 49ers to get him for a reason.

I hate it and love it.  I don't like 2nd rounders having guaranteed contracts, it wasn't collectively bargained. That said I love he is in the fold, I see this kid having a HUGE impact for us this year.

You gotta pressure Mahomes and Burrow up the middle. You just have to. Sanders give us a chance to do that. I watched him a lot in college and he jumps out on the screen.

All I can say is…..Thank goodness! Up until this signing the Bills top three picks included a guy who’s being sued for assault, a guy without a contract, and a guy who’s already on the PUP list. How’s that for Debbie Downer?

Completely agree with all of this.

Sanders did play on a very talented South Carolina DL, but it’s not like he’s going to be the focal point here … Throw him in on a pass rush line of Bosa - Sanders - Oliver - Rousseau and we could finally have closers out there.
