You covered pretty much all of them.

But as someone else said: I generally won't re-watch any loss. I see no reason to do so.

If I was ever going to do so, the 13 seconds game would probably be the logical choice, because it was SUCH a great game for Allen and Gabe and the Bills in general. But even then, I can't do it. It just infuriates me too much.

Those legendary "Billsy" losses, especially the ones that cost us a potential trip to the Super Bowl, are simply too gut wrenching. I can't do it.

I was on Youtube just yesterday and a short video popped up titled, Great Moments in NFL History. I started to watch, curious what moments they selected. I watched the first two moments, and then the third was the Music City Miracle. I immediately clicked off the video and didn't watch another second.

Yeah, I have never rewatched any of the Super Bowls from the '90s. Can barely stomach watching highlights from those games. Back in the old days (not sure if anyone still does it), leading up to the Super Bowl each year, one channel (probably ESPN), used to spend a day/weekend showing highlight videos of every Super Bowl back-to-back. I used to watch a lot of them. After the Super Bowl losses in the 90s, I never watched those SB highlights again, even for the SBs without the Bills in it.

And yeah, I agree with Logic. 13 seconds might be the only playoff loss that I would ever rewatch (it was just such a great game---an all-time NFL classic), despite the heartache.

I was at the 6-3 Browns game. I can't think of the year. 2010 maybe. Derek Anderson completed 2 passes and the Browns won. The Bills committed a ridiculous number of false start penalties and I think the game ended on a Roscoe Parish fumble on a punt return. I've never felt the need to rewatch any portion of that game.

The Bills had a hotline where you could report about things at the stadium that needed attention (fans, sewage in concourse etc) I texted the hotline that day that Dick Juaron was ruining my experience.

Two weeks later he was fired

The entire 1984 and 85 seasons with the exception of the Cowboys game in 84. Of course, every home game was blacked out back then so you couldn't watch them live unless you were there.

The Redskins Super Bowl loss.  I taped it on a VHS cassette like we often did back in those days.  I took the cassette outside that same night a threw it against a big tree as hard as I could.  Felt good to smash it into a 100 pieces.  I also never re-watched any parts of the last two KC playoff losses or the Cinci debacle (which i attended).

I Did that for the Giants Super Bowl loss. Except I smashed it on the street.

I like the watching the replays on NFL network. With all the commercials taken out you are done in an hour. Sometimes the games are too stressful to enjoy live. I just re-watched the San Fran game from last year the other night it was thoroughly enjoyable to see. You also feel better knowing it’s a victory when you sit down to watch it. Certainly more entertaining than half the crap my wife watches on TV these days. Plus I’m not a fan of Baseball so it gives me a sports fix during off times.

Since it’s the time of year for offseason topics, what are some Bills games that still haunt you that you will never rewatch? NFL network is always showing replays. When the following games come on I turn my head or throw up. To this day I have never rewatched the following as they are too painful to relive.

Bill Titans wildcard - January 2000

Bills Cowboys - MNF October 2007

Bills Browns - MNF November 2008

Bills Patriots - MNF September 2009

Bills Chiefs Divisional - January 2022

Bills Bengals Divisional - January 2023

Bills Broncos - MNF November 2023

Bills Chiefs Divisional - January 2024

Bills Chiefs Championship - January 2024

Just about every other game since 2000 I have watched highlights or rewatched a condensed version at some point.

What are yours?

The regular season ones wouldnt bother me at all... the playoff losses are never rewatchable. Any playoff Chiefs games? NF'ing way, especially the first AFCCG.  Josh's first playoff game in Houston is a no.  Forward lateral game?  Was the first time I remember absolutely bawling about a football game, I hate seeing that play to this day.... only 6months before that my first time bawling at any sports game, and it was hockey.  These should surprise nobody.

What DID* surprise me, I was turning 3yrs old when Wide Right happened, and during covid I was rewatching classic Bills game I wasnt old enough to remember.  The Houston comeback game, shellacking Bengals in AFC Champ game, and any SB Run era playoff games I could find.  Was really cool to watch as somebody who knows the history, but cant firsthand remember any/much of Kelly, Bruce, Andre, Thurman's Prime.

I was having a grand ole time!!!  I knew watching the Cowboys smackdowns would have 0 entertainment value, so I figured Wide Right Game could be a fun watch. I dont have an authentic memory/attachment to that game and I knew the ending obviously.  .... was a fun game to watch, but seeing the context of how that kick came to be, made it absolutely brutal all over again.  I don't remember that game at all, but damn it felt like I was.  Cant say I recommend that to anyone LOL

Even from an analytical standpoint, there's still too much emotion involved for it to be a worthwhile experience

The only exception I've ever made is the 1989 loss at Cleveland - that was such a wildly entertaining back-and-forth game, and while I still cringe at Ronnie Harmon's alligator arms, I could bear the anguish knowing that we were turning into a juggernaut the next 4 seasons.

Man I wish I could've experienced Bills/Chiefs as even a neutral viewer.  In my head I know that's gotta be a top 10 all time playoff game.  But I dont even like seeing the highlights of us going up late in that one.  I will NEVER rewatch that

I was watching NFL Pluto TV and they're doing the top 10 games of the last 15 years or something like that in the bills Vikings game was number seven, and there was 200 bills games on there I believe.

That was a great game as far as it goes if you're a Vikings fan. There was a lot of stupid calls including a weird fumble

Super Bowl losses to Washington and Dallas.  Too painful still

The Washington game I saw live and had it set to record at home. When we got home I immediately deleted it.

Now my TV knows to automatically records Bills games, but I never watch them. I already saw it.

I don't generally re-watch a lot of games, and pretty much never re-watch losses.  So for me, the list is more about which painful losses I HAVE re-watched.  There are a few:

-All 4 Super Bowls (I think; I was pretty young and maybe just rewatched 1 or 2 of them)

-Bills/Titans wildcard Jan 2000, aka Music City Miracle.  Really hit home how bad Rob Johnson was prior to the final drive.  I also spent a LOT of time obsessing over whether the 'lateral' itself went forward or not.

-Bills/Chiefs divisional Jan 2022, aka 13 Seconds - but I should disclose that I haven't rewatched anything that came after Gabe's final TD.

I know its gotten rave reviews, but I refuse to watch The Four Falls of Buffalo.

Same.  Any time it's come up, I tell people "I don't need to watch it; I lived it."  I hear from reliable sources (Bills fans and non-Bills fans) that it's great, and I have no problem recommending it to other people.  If we ever win a Super Bowl, maybe then I'll watch it, who knows?
