We have a tendency to think of football players as robots, unaffected the things that affect us mere mortals in our daily lives. Or to think that money buys happiness and therefore they have no right to be affected by personal / relationship concerns. Neither of those views are true or indeed fair.

The late great Joe Paterno recognized this deeply...he often explained why he didn't "trust" players at times is because they were college kids and who knows what was going on in their personal lives.  The QB's girlfriend might have just broken up with him.

We all know that '22 season was an emotional roller coaster for the entire team; was Josh supposed to be the superhero who rose above all of that?  I think it's unfair to put that on him.

IDK, 2 years in a row in the elimination game Josh hit receivers in the hands with potential game winning potential and both dropped them.

The difference between Buffalo and KC is that KC’s role players show up in the playoffs and most of our stars sht the bed. Groot was an abomination against KC, Oliver didn’t suck but he didn’t make a difference. Non-Miller was MIA as usual, Jones was meh at best. Despite that, Josh had the ball at the end of the game with the chance to take the lead AGAIN, yet Cook wasn’t on the field and Kincaid (despite having no legs) dropped a ball that hit him in the hands.

I don’t think Josh is the problem in the playoffs. Someone else needs to make a play just once

And KC’s coaching staff is always one leg up on Sean and his

Allen isn’t the issue, it’s other players and coaching staff

That 2022 season was the "Season from hell" for this team. Even beyond the Hamlin situation. They had a lot go wrong off the field and a bad injury situation on the field combined with the Hamlin situation. Overall the fact that they somehow went 13-3 that season and won a playoff game despite all the injuries let alone the bad off field stuff let alone the Hamlin situation tacked on top of all that is a testament to that team not a detraction. 2023 was another odd one, but that was more so boneheaded self inflicted stuff as opposed to 2022 that was largely outside of a handful of roster decisions (lackluster offensive line and WR2) out of their control.

His pajamas have only one stripe.

Then he also has the gall to write an autobiographical series before he’s actually done anything in this league yet?! I’m outraged at the temerity…

Man this off season is too darn long

It's only just begun.

We've had FA, the draft, OTAs, and soon Minicamp.

Then comes the dreaded Gap, the long weeks off between OTAs and training camp

SO who do I run into in the Tampa airport yesterday on my flight back to Buffalo... lol One Dalton Kincaid... great guy posing for pictures with little kids... signing shoes and hats... If anyone has recently left the airport you may have noticed a big picture Ad with Josh, Dawson, Tasker and Dion ... Dalton stops looks at it and starts to laugh... anyways... I am not saying he is skinny. I am saying how pedestrian he looks... I would not have picked him off as a football player at all...  I remember being a kid and how old and grizzled these guys looked...  he looked like a kid I would offer 40 bucks to for cutting my lawn lol...  sorry for being old and not overly relevant.. just had to share.  lol

Not even that long anymore. I remember a time when all the spring activity wrapped up in May. Then it went to mini camp being in the first week of June. Now it is second week of June. At which point it is max five weeks to training camp opening.

I do think it is a genuine issue when they look at an 18th game, or different rules around coach hiring season.... and multiple other things. They have compressed the calendar so much there really isn't much space left.

And I know the individuals involved are well remunerated... but for coaches and administrators it is really their only break of the year. At least players get the time between their season ending and late March when phase 1 activities start.

The pain begins once the nba and nhl finals are over.

actually the nhl finals are painful too, as we’ve been watching former #2 overall sabres draft picks win 3 titles in a row (likely win 3 in a row I should say)

Well I guess the person I saw didnt look anything near 240... and quite honestly looked like a kid to me... but again, thats just cause I am old ... they all look like kids to me...  bottom line if he wasnt signing autographs and taking pictures and people werent saying hey Dalton... I would have passed him by without any notice... he looked like a tall gangly kid. That was just my immediate observation and I thought I would share for fun...

When people say gangly and lanky this is what I think

Kincaid does look like an NFL player I've seen him plenty of times

I get it everybody is ripping on his frame in this thread and it's fun to join in.. the NBA player I showed is skinny Dalton Kincaid is not

Ok well I saw what I saw you disagree and think I didn't see what I saw fine fair enough.  The intent of the post was mostly to say what a good guy he seems to be. The last thing I am looking to do is rip on him.
