I love how if someone who is a big time prospect coming out of College doesn't light the world on fire as a Rookie, they were "overhyped".

Even if he busts out, that doesn't change the kind of generational talent prospect he was coming out of College.

He was the definition of overhyped. All I heard for a year is that the guy was going to step right in and dominate from day one because he was a "generational" talent as you put it. Not that his dad's name had anything to do with it. Then I watch him struggle to consistently make an impact while other rookies produced immediately. As it stands he will be lucky to be the 3rd best WR in his class.

And if you want to make the argument that Kyler is holding him back, how come BTJ and Nabers were far more impactful with equally if not worse QB situations (especially in the Giants case)?

Harrison may well turn out to be an outstanding receiver, but last year's WR class could easily be like 2014 where ultimately many players who turned out to be better were drafted after the consensus top guy.

If he busts that doesn't change that? Sure it does. That means everyone was wrong about him. I would say jn that scenario he would be "overhyped" for sure.

Personally, when I hear "overhyped" when it comes to a Prospect, to me that implies that the level of talent evaluated from College was blown out of proportion. That's definitely not the case with MHJ.

I think Draft "hype" and what the player becomes at the next level are two separate things. The NCAA and the NFL are different animals. There's any number of reasons on and off the field that a guy might not translate to the next level.

For example, Sammy Watkins was a bust. But do I think he was overhyped as a Prospect coming into the NFL? No, I don't.

All of that is supposed to be a part of the evaluation, though. What will they be like as a pro? Are there chatacter concerns? Does his game translate to the next level? Is he mentally prepared and ready? Is he resilient? Getting drafted that high means the answer to all those questions was positive, and so the player generates a lot of hype.

I would argue that Sammy Watkins was for sure overhyped. He did not turn out to be what people were convinced he would be, mostly because he is a head case.

Yeah, injuries can throw a big wrench into everything. That is true.

All of this makes me think you may have never watched a snap of the kid playing ball in your life.

Care to address my points and tell me why I am wrong? You didn't refute anything. Joke all you want but Harrison was a non factor an alarming amount of the time last year for the Cardinals. That should not happen to a supposedly dominant, can't miss prospect.

What was his issue last season?  I didn’t get the impression is was strength related

He didn’t have any issues. He had 62 catches/885 yards/ 8 TDs as a rookie

I think we have a philosophical difference of opinion. And one that requires hindsight after a number of years.

It's like when people say the Bills were stupid for Drafting Sammy Watkins instead of Mike Evans. With the benefit of hindsight, we can see that Evans easily turned into the better NFL WR.

But during the Draft, was it considered dumb to take Watkins instead of Evans? No - on the contrary, it would have been shocking as Watkins was considered far and away the better prospect.

Just like even though BTJ had the better Rookie campaign, people would have thought Arizona lost their minds if they took him over MHJ.

One of the most overhyped prospects to come out in recent years imo

Dude has the midget man throwing to him. Put him with a real QB and he'll be much better

His issue was he sucks. I think Beane should offer the Cards a 6th round picks for him

Yeah, with hindsight you look back and say the busted players were overhyped and overrated. But I do see what you are saying.

Pretty damn solid if you ask me.

Now look at Malik Nabers 109/1204/7 line with the illustrious trio of Daniel Jones/Drew Lock/Tommy DeVito at QB.

Or Brian Thomas Jr's 87/1282/10 with a quarterback in Trevor Lawrence who has been at least as disappointing as a former No. 1 overall pick as Murray.

Im not surprised, hes been in a full grown mans body since HS lol  Going from a college dorm/cafeteria to NFL salary diet, with NFL S&C Coaches, NFL Dietitian.  Could NFL level chemists be involved?  Sure could lol  These dudes DNA dictates how their bodies respond to drugs too.  Either way good for him, he should get Kincaid in touch with his guy if thats the case LOL

Also worth noting that NFL players have and allowable amount of trenbolone in their system. LoL.
