Confused, he is 28 years old, his 40 time is around 4.5, 6 catches for 60 yards career numbers. I mean is there something I’m missing?

With all the good/decent receivers the Bills have, this guy has no shot of making the 53 and little chance of landing on the PS.  I wonder why he would sign with us.

I mean, at the very least it's an opportunity. Maybe not for this team, but perhaps he gets into some PS games and does well. Hes just as much auditioning for 31 other teams as he is for the Bills.

Gives him the opportunity to put some good things on tape, maybe it leads to a contract in the NFL with another team. Keeps his dreams alive a little longer.

Every route ran in these highlights seems to mirror the routes Bills receivers ran last season

By now, Beane has seen his rookie DBs on the Bills practice field.  If Wilkerson can "mirror the routes," maybe they plan to give him a look at CB.  Echoes of Troy Brown, who was also a NE WR before starting to play CB pretty well late in his career.

History may not repeat itself, but sometimes it rhymes.
