vtnatefootball11 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) I'd take him as a WR #5/6, good blocker, good locker room guy, could play ST if needed. Would have to set the clear expectation that it's not gonna be a starter/captain situation like last time, but he's certainly worthy of being on a roster. Still don't love not having a single plus starter, but our room would be deep: 1. Shakir 2. Coleman 3. Palmer 4. Moore 5. Samuel 6. Davis Edited 21 hours ago by vtnatefootball11 5 1 3 Quote

BarleyNY Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/47723/gabriel-davis 2025 Option bonus and salary, which is almost his entire compensation package for 2025, is guaranteed. The Jags paid/are paying $24M for 11 weeks of Gabe Davis. Wow. Wonder if the Jags insured him. Edited 21 hours ago by BarleyNY 1 2 2 Quote
Roundybout Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I’d be on board with bringing him back cheap. He was a good WR3 or WR4. 5 6 1 Quote

He’s an actual better version of Mack Hollins, good in the locker room, and certainly not good enough to demand a high target share. Really depends what his market is but coming off a bad injury last year and the timing of this release (i.e. after teams have put together their rosters) the chances are he takes a 1 year, prove-it type deal. The Bills and Beane in particular loved him as a guy and a teammate. 1 2 Quote
Paul Costa Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Have to come in cheap. He made some money 💰. He can afford a one year reset. Quote

If it's a vet minimum training camp/pre-season deal to compete at WR with the idea that he can take the Mack Hollins role then I really don't see why the Bills wouldn't kick the tires so to speak? BUT is he a willing and capable ST player? Hollins was an ST ace and a very good blocker with some limited "pop" as a WR. Gabe is roughly as good a blocker and a better WR but if Gabe can't at least be a capable ST player (doesn't need to be an "ace" just a contributor) then it is hard to see him being able to make the roster just as a WR 4/5 when there's a crowded field there. 1 Quote
ytownblofan Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Wouldn't be shocked if the Steelers bring him in. That room is looking a little sparse post Pickens trade and Gabe has balled out against them in the past. 7 6 Quote

Bullfrog Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I just can't see Davis willing to come in and be a number 3-6 wr on this roster. How will that help him reset and get another solid deal? 3 3 Quote
