Jeff George came in with great fanfare as the #1 draft pick, and there was a thought it could serve as a preview of a future rivalry between the teams if he turned out to be the real deal. Like you said, we harassed him all game and he didn't have much around him talentwise, but he hung in there until Cornelius Bennett rearranged his mental state early in the fourth quarter. I remember how euphoric the stadium was when he got knocked out cold (obviously, a much different time). What a terrible way to start in the league (even worse for his folks in the stands hearing the crowd erupt over the pummeling of your child). Looks like my No Huddle crowd eruption memory is wrong. 1 Quote
Mat68 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago 2003 Bills home opener. 31-0 vs Brady and the Pats. Timeless game. Big man touchdown. That game was great. 1 Quote
Conlan58 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Last year's game against Miami. We were in town for my son's hockey tournament and snagged tickets to the game in Early November. Ended up being a gorgeous day around 60 degrees for my two boy's first regular season game (6 and 9 yo) and they got to witness a game winning 61 yard field goal. There have been plenty of games that trump this one in product on the field, but getting a picture of my boys shirtless and flexing among bills mafia... priceless! Quote
