if i was him, i'd take buffalo's offer.....he'd have a better chance of looking good for his next contract. he's not wanted in cleveland or looks like anywhere else for that matter

He's going to have greater opportunities with Josh and our offense to showcase his talents. The Browns qb room is ugh.

There is indeed much to like about DJ Moore. Multiple 1000 yard seasons, good size, 4.42 speed when he entered the league. Bears have invested a lot in receiving options for Williams and DJ Moore may be a luxury if they really believe in Burden. 

I can't peg a trade value for him but his value to the Bills would be very good.

I wouldn’t put too much stock in an underwhelming performances as he played in NJJ, and Cleveland.  Those QB’s stink.  Look what Mack Hollins did here as he had JA17 throwing to him.  He’s cheap and young so why not given Beane did nothing in the draft. I’m not counting on a aster in the 7th rd.

Is moore’s history of drama worth signing him? His Dad’s a pain in the asz and Moore has caused significant drama for both the Jets and CLE. Our “everybody eats” thing won’t go over well with him or his Dad. I would pass on him and maybe look at DJ Chark, or better yet look to trade for someone? Also, any 6/1 cut candidates?

Elijah Moore, Gabe Davis.. give me that type of WR and I think a lot of us who complain about WR are happy.

 

We have an elite QB, elite OL, above average RB’s, likely an above average pair of TE’s once Kincaid gets right.

 

Josh Palmer is an upgrade over what Amari Cooper now is.  Just need another WR3/4 type guy as a hedge against Coleman not making a jump and Samuel staying injured on & off all year.

Elijah Moore maybe, but the Bills were clearly a much better team Offensively minus Gabe " barely caught 50% of targets"  Davis

 

I for one would be livid if we signed a Gabe Davis type of player, I was extremely happy we let him go. 

 

Also Josh's best work is done in the mid ranges. The long ball is not his strong suit when it comes to accuracy.  Gabe had a limited route tree to work with.

He carries a $25m cap hit this year.  Are they going to pay him with cookies?  The Bills do not have the cap room or flexibility to afford this, even if they wanted to.

Capaccio on the radio this morning said the tender the Browns put on Moore meant he could sign for any amount with any team. But that if he signed before May 1st it would count towards the comp pick formula, but after May 1st it would not. So, my guess is sometime tomorrow or Friday we will hear Moore is being signed to an incentive laden contract that hits the cap as less than the Browns 3.4 tender but has easily met incentives that will make as much or more than that.

he has not shown the deep accuracy since day 1, he has shown massive arm strength. Not sure how much more he can work on it, I think he is what he is and you play to his strengths. Yes you will let the occasional long ball fly to keep defenses on their heels some, but with Brady as our OC and Josh I do not think that will ever be a massive part of the Bills O game plan

 

Also what is the long ball % of the best long ball throwers in the NFL past and present?

Palmer is not an upgrade over Coop until he proves it. Last year without Keenan Allen he had the chance to prove he was better than average and he didn’t. Coop was injured and may not of been as productive as we hoped but defenses still had to walk into the game giving him some respect. It was something we never had before they traded him

Sorry, I was in this thread early, then dropped off for a while.  Can anyone catch me up on why there's a whole "trade for DJ Moore" sidebar?  Is it just because they have the same last name?  If so, I'd like to start an additional sidebar about the great Herman Moore, star WR for those 90s Barry Sanders Lions teams.  His best season came in 1995, when he caught a league-leading 123 passes for 1686 yards and 14 touchdowns.  Dude was like an early Megatron prototype - 6'4", 210 lbs, great hands and jumping ability.

 

As for Elijah, thanks to @Normaliswear for the May 1st info.  Hopefully that's accurate and we sign him May 2nd.  I'm a little skeptical though, just because we're currently at a net -2 in the comp pick formula, so it's pretty unlikely we'd care about whether Moore counts or not.  I'm still fully on board to sign Moore after looking at Spotrac's list of free agent WRs.  He's young, potentially still getting better, would add speed to our offense, and can play inside and out.  This thread has included some evidence that he's better on the outside than in the slot, so I hope the Bills would give him a chance at both and not just pigeonhole him as slot-only.

I would guess Rodgers, Fouts, Marino and Mahomey, maybe Unitas.
