You said it last pre draft, and I agreed with it, that some players separate due to speed and/or route running ability.  Coleman will separate with physicality through DB contact and through his breaks.

Man I was ready to take a victory lap on here after the Seattle game. For anyone who forgets what that looked like:

The following Miami game he was not good, and then of course after returning from injury he was a shell of himself. But the player from that video still exists.

Can he shave 10ths off? Because the kid is slow as molasses.

He plays slower than his 40 time too … imo.

Honestly probably not tenths

He did return punts at FSU and had some burst and ability

I don't think a school with the prestige of Florida State would put a kid back there without talent /athleticism

Usually on a football team especially in ACC/ SEC/ B12 your  punt returner is the best pure athlete

There is more intelligent football conversation in a TBD nickname thread than there is on any WGR show. All of those hosts, especially Jeremy and Joe, display below average football intelligence. I have no problem with Beane calling them out even though I’d prefer he had taken a higher road. His best line was reminding them they wanted Josh Rosen over Josh Allen, that was laugh out loud funny. Buffalo sports media is pure amateur hour. You get a ton better intelligent content from the many podcasters that cover the Bills, but I guess that’s part of the radio schtick.

As for Coleman, JFC give the guy a chance. No one on here saw the emergence of Bernard after we let Edmunds walk. This place was apoplectic after the draft when we didn’t snag a MLB early. We draft for character. I expect Coleman heard when Beane called him out after he played like crap post injury. It’s a maturity thing. I expect we will see a much better Coleman this season but idk if that will justify passing on Ladd.

GR is the reason I have Sirius.  The only monthly bill I'll never complain about and gladly pay.

Not to be that guy, but shock generates buzz, which generates listeners, which generates ad revenue.

The more Howard Stern you are, the better a jock you are, it's like this everywhere. Some places not so much and more on point, I've listened to them...but they're boring. Podcasters are great...but they're boring. The fact there is a 47 page thread, in a sea of countless WGR threads is the ***** point!

How many 47 page threads about Joe Marino? Or Sal Capaccio.

"But they're talking Bills football and staying on topic"

THATS THE POINT, EINSTEIN!

Mike Schopp, Coach Dickerson, Jeremy White, et. al, are just talking heads/personalities. Remember Jim Rome? Dude, it's slapping you in the face like a big pink penis. It's the same reason Trump is president or how the best era in WWF was the attitude era. The Kardashians have a top show.

Of all the examples of teamwork that Sean McDermott has used, can you name a non-911 one? Hell, none of us have ever even heard that one, but thats the only one we know.

Good for Brandon, calling these guys out.  He’s 100% right.  The name of the game is scoring points and every team has a salary cap to deal with so you can’t play fantasy football.  There is no question that defense has prevented the Bills from advancing farther in the playoffs.  Period.

He has been on edge.

I was thinking about this too. Idk when the broadcasting rights expire, but it wouldn't shock me if they took the Bills and Sabres somewhere else. It's kinda embarrassing to associated with such a horrible station.

Unfortunately, no broadcasting company would spend the money to create a competitive alternative to WGR. Yes there are 2 other satellite-fed, all-national networks sports AM's in Buffalo. No one cares. To take on WGR directly would require such a massive investment and most broadcasting companies are on the verge of bankruptcy these days. Which is not to say WGR couldn't be taken on. I think they are vulnerable to a decent local sports alternative. What has to happen is I need to win the Powerball.

He's plexico without the skill set rn

He has the traits and the athleticism... He needs to work on the nuances but he still can be a big play receiver

I don't see 1300 yards seasons but I can see 50-60 catches at 16-18 ypr

The best part about WGR in a landslide are the drunk callers and that they still have call in shows. Our local stations don’t have callers at all. It’s pure comedy especially post game, or the morning after.

Decent Buffalo-specific coverage on Sirius though? I'm not much for listening to national sports coverage. I will, but would much rather find a jazz station or even WBFO's new digital all-music format called "The Bridge." (Kinda/sorta emerged out of the ashes of The Pink.)

Yeah I get it. I am wondering if it's possible for the rights to go to a station that isn't necessarily sports.  Ala 97 Rock years ago

Not sure if this has been posted in this thread but I just stumbled across it. Howard and Jeremy crying the day after Buffalo drafted Josh. It's great!

I love this so much... B-)

The thing I love most was my absolute distain for Rosen coming out. He was the guy I wanted least. Honestly I'll never be able to truly understand what any football folks saw in that guy as a franchise QB prospect. I did not like him a year before he came out. There were on and off the field reasons I wanted nothing to do with him. I often bask in the glory of being so right about Josh Rosen... :D

I guess I also forgot about what the consensus was fan-wise at that time, mainly because I did not care. I saw JA17 as a massive upside guy coming out of a terrible offensive system with little to no real guidance on how to play the position. A massive project for sure. Huge risk no doubt about it. But the kid reminded me of Elway. And that was enough for me to think if the Bills take him, I am AOK with it.  B-)

It was a decisive “W” Beane I thought.  Joe and Jeremy didn’t know what to do.  After those two complained about WR all morning, he hit them in the mouth and they never recovered.

Some fans might listen to the clip and think he came off as defensive.  But you know who will love that?  His players, coaches ans people in the organization.  Especially the WR’s on the roster

They insult his job performance according to their standards and then they are the victim.  I didn't listen to the morning show the rest of the week because i didn't want to hear about this all week.  But other dj's on this channel threw snide remarks about how hurt their butt was throughout the week.

Ok.  I take my take back on Beane coming across as thin skinned.  These guys had it coming.

Bean has been salty in everything ive seen him in. Something is bothering him. There is more to the story im aftaid

It does speak to him feeling pressure. As for Beane’s comments, here’s how I read them. The most important were:

- him saying “there’s only one ball” and

- using the word “frustrated” when speaking of WRs who don’t think they get the ball enough.

Easy to interpret IMO. The Bills aren’t looking for an elite WR who demands the ball (like Diggs did) and they aren’t interested in spending big on such a player. That’s because they are planning on utilizing the same schematic concepts as last year - run heavy with a predominately shorter passing game that spreads the ball around and has an eye toward YAC. An elite WR would be frustrated with lack of targets in that offense.
