I wasn't happy with the pick. There will be a handful of Tariq Woolen types out of the mid to late rounds from this draft. Heck Strong may be starting before long.

I just don't get these 1st round selections. I'm hoping this kid doesn't spend the year on IR. He just don't look like he is gonna be able to handle the business.

1st rd pick goes down with an unknown injury and this is what you post.  Well done

So, if it’s NOT a torn ACL, what are the possibilities here. Anyone know? Any time I hear non contact leg it seems to practically guarantee ACL or Achilles

I remember Reggie Ragland years ago tearing both ACLs and was able to walk off the field immediately after. So the fact Hairston “walked off” doesn’t do a whole lot for me.

It looked like lateral knee instability was what the trainer on the field was looking for. If not an ACL it is likely an MCL. If sprained he could be on the field in a month. If torn he might be on IR until Thanksgiving.

FWIW, see above

Thanks for sending that over. I’ve been hearing great things about Tre in camp but I haven’t heard much about Dane/Strong/Ingram so it is nice to get some info

Yeah I know it’s so hard to decipher. Who says this one dudes perspective means anything? Either way it’s interesting

Thankfully we are super deep at DB.  Could be a lot worse.  Hoping it's nothing

We're deep as far as the quality for the back end of a roster goes. But I was really hoping Hairston would step up. As in 2025, starting Tre White (regardless of how he's looked in camp reps), Dane Jackson, Dorian Strong, or Ja'Marcus Ingram doesn't exactly instill confidence in the position for me.

I've played a sport for the last 20 years where ACL/MCL tears are a (relatively speaking) common injury. I've never seen someone stand up of their own power and walk off the field after tearing one. I've never seen someone tear one and not be screaming/crying in agony either.

I'm not a trained medical professional in any capacity though, but I'm going to guess this is a sprain and he'll miss almost all of the rest of camp.

If long term, I'd be surprised if Rasul Douglas isn't brought back.

He wouldn't be my choice as I've been pretty vocal that I think he's toast. But this regime will always go for familiarity in McDermott's scheme over quality of player.

I hope White has a resurgence with us and can stay healthy. But relying on that is a dangerous proposition imo. So I think someone else stronger than a 6th Round Rookie, Dane Jackson, and Ja'Marcus Ingram would need to be brought in.

That's pretty shocking to me. I've seen probably 7-10 ACL tears and probably 2-5 Achilles tears at tournaments.  Every one I remember was brutal.

The only one I recall walking off the field like nothing was Jordy Nelson, but he's a country boy like Josh. His offseason workouts consisted of him working on the family farm.

Von Miller didn't have a big reaction after his ACL tear. He was kneeling on the field and walking around on the sideline before he was carted off

The fact we haven't heard anything is not good at all. Generally speaking, if it wasn't serious we would have probably heard that.

Possible they want to take him for an MRI as either a needed confirmation or a MRI for a precautionary measure hopefully. You might not have much of an update

That's true, forgot about that.  Good counter-example.

On this team alone, Reggie Ragland walked to the locker room in Training Camp after tearing his ACL. Von Miller got up and walked to the sidelines after tearing his ACL.
