Not the same position.  I think Kincaid of a receiving TE, not a complete TE like Knox.  Kincaid is emerging, his blocking is improved.  Jackson Hawes has played 194, Kincaid has played 189 snaps.  That shows the importance of being a more complete TE.

Malik Nabors, Jamar Chase, Jefferson, Nacua, Kincaid-   One of these names doesn’t belong lol

Kincaid ran a 4.72 40. That’s WR territory and he did play high school basketball like Keon, who got PT with Izzo. Keon + Kincaid + Allen in basketball vs any 3 on KC.

Do you think Shavers would be worse than Coleman?  Shavers blocks, can catch, has scored a long TD in the NFL.  Coleman is so bad, I don’t see Shavers being worse

I do, actually. I think Keon has looked rough as a starter and has taken a step back in a Sophomore slump. There's no disputing that. But he's a better blocker (he was actually very good at that this week) and has shown (although very inconsistently) the ability to make some plays, lined up on quality NFL CB's. More often than not, the team's best CB.

Shavers has not. He hasn't been making plays lined up against teams 2nd or 3rd CB's. For all his speed, he can not get open any better than Coleman can.

If you want someone to get more reps than Coleman, WR6 on the depth chart wouldn't be my first thought. Shavers has shown absolutely nothing to deserve such a promotion.

Coleman's the punching bag bc he was supposed to be the guy. But if it were just Coleman providing nothing we wouldn't be nearly as bad off as we are. The truth is, they've all been atrocious at getting open. Even Shakir, as good as he is in the open field and for as shifty as he is, can't get separation. That's why we're seeing so many screen passes at the line.

The answer is simply not on the active roster. Best we can hope for is a Trade for the best guy we can get, Kincaid/Palmer getting back to 100%, and elevating Davis when he's ready.

4.72 WR territory?  In the 1960s maybe.

AJ was a great basketball player too.  He’s still not a WR

He’s worse.  And it’s not even a question.

Worse than Coleman means he doesn’t belong on a NFL roster.  Too bad you can’t put Shavers passion, attitude, work ethic into Keon

Shavers didn’t belong on an NFL roster…. Last year.

I was shocked something so reasonable and logical did not happen.  I feel Bean's decisions this year have been some his worst.  Which is concerning.

the money he burns on fragile FA guys with low catch rates is going to be his epitaph

From everything I've seen,  Coleman isn't much,  but yeah,  I think Shavers is worse.

I know it was not you who posted the 4.72 40 time but I don't think that's right. Kincaid did not work out at combine or pro day because of injury.

I was with you up until this. Shavers has no business being on the field, period. He's not an NFL caliber WR. He looks decent enough lined up against other Practice Squad players and guys who will be out of the league during the Pre-Season.

He's one of only 3 WR's on the roster to dress every game this year and has gone without a catch in 5 of the 7 games. He has not earned more playing time. If you think Coleman has a hard time getting open, you should watch Shavers running routes against actual NFL CB's.

The only thing Shavers should be doing is being the first guy out to make room for whomever we Trade for and/or Gabe Davis when he's ready.

That’s pretty harsh about Shavers.  Not saying he is a world beater by any means.

But if he is dressing for games, let’s send him deep off of play action and see what he can do.

Doesn’t he have some straight line speed?
