Virgil actually really looked solid on ST on Sunday! He’s no million dollar man, but he was flying all over the field and got that fumble recovery!

Phillips or Jefferson might end up on the practice squad at some point.  Virgil seems like the guy at this point as emotionally unstable said

Could be, I think he helps himself with the Special Teams ability to possibly stick as well. I suspect one of Jefferson or Phillips will be let go when Carter is ready. The question is who gets let go when Grable returns. Could be Virgil, Could be Clapp, could be someone like Morrow as well.

Phillips has been playing more, and he's been playing pretty well

FWIW, I am always leery of these charts for a host of reasons…one of which is that this graph mandates a minimum 100 snaps to qualify. Big Phil has only take 47 snaps as a Bill this season, so half of this is reflected off of his time not on the Bills yet credits it towards him returning to the McD defense. 
 

P.S. His snap share has actually gone down since initially returning to Buffalo (36%, 29%, 21% in 3 games)

I had assumed (maybe falsely) that they plonked him in with just his Bills snaps, but who knows.

I agree if they're trying to make a point that Phillips plays differently with the Bills, it would not make sense to include snaps with other teams
 

Thing is....he only has 34 snaps with Dallas, so he doesn't make that "100 snap minimum" even if they did roll in Dallas snaps??

He was on IR and didn't play with them for 6 games

I mean his run play was BRUTAL on Sunday. But yea, he does always seem to find his pass rush shoes in Buffalo in a way he never can anywhere else.

That'd be why his snap count fell.  But Sunday was kind of brutal for both DLs.

 

Phillips has always been a + pass rusher from 3T and has to be given firm marching orders to mind his gap in the run game.
