Xavier Worthy injured during 1st practice as a Chief

Recommended Posts

What’s silly is this situation with him is going to make me root against him and for what?  I guess just because he’s a Chief.

We didn’t want him.  Full stop.  Maybe the Chiefs get something out of him.  They were extremely likely to get him anyway.  It just doesn’t matter.

I just really don’t have the desire to see highlights of him catching balls vs air all summer and hear about how great he looks.

He does not have the profile to be a #1.  We did the right thing - I believe we had it down to Coleman and Legette and maybe even Mitchell.

I like our guy.  I like the position we’re in now and going into 2025.

Just keep the oline strong and we’re going to be good.

Agree. I'll root against him because he's a chief. That's easy.

I see Roscoe Parrish, only smaller. And Roscoe has a highlight film. No doubt Worthy will have one too. Just like lots of other players. It will be annoying to see someone start a thread every time Worthy catches a pass for a first down.

Actually I think my biggest fear is what Andy will do with him and the new kickoff rules. I could see Roscoe having a field day with that, and I fully believe that's a big part of why Andy wanted him.

I hope he on returns.  More opportunity to get snapped in half

40 time is all that matters.

I was told by many here that a 6'1 169 pound guy can be our number 1 and the weight wouldn't be an issue because small quick guys are hard to jam off the line ... LOL

You would have believed he was the second coming with how some on the board talked about him man.

He's so good that our GM traded back instead of taking him. But yeah, we didn't get "our guy" to some.

I am ABSOLUTELY shocked, a guy that looks like this is getting injured, to be honest. GettyImages-2054026522-e1709478823713.jp

..and had sh**** Qb's for most of his career.

I listened to a podcast that talked about how banged up he has been, sometimes even when playing that has affected performance.   I am hopeful for him.  The other thing is there is absolutely no correlation between elite 40 yard dash speed and NFL production.  It takes a myriad of traits be be good, speed is one and only one factor.

Vegas has Worthy’s O/U set at 800.5 yards for the season.  They and the Chiefs’ front office must be incompetent.

They have Keon Coleman at 750 and Rome Odunze at 700.

Its about opportunity, not talent.

Trying to force a correlation here is embarrassing.

Worthy's going to grow 5 inches and gain 39 lbs? That be really impressive.

The Chiefs have been pretty bad at bringing in receivers since their lucky pick of Tyreek Hill in the 5th round. Almost incompetent, as you say.

But maybe Worthy will be different.

I was and am a fan of the Samuel signing...but it's his health/availability that's the biggest knock on him imo. I think his play style will really mesh with Josh.

I'll bet that under.

Joking about the truth? Not at all. The Chiefs are an awesome team. But they have continually failed to bring in difference makers at receiver. None of them have worked out. Are you surprised by this? I figured as a Cheifs fan you would know that the Chiefs have probably had the worst group of receivers in the league the past couple of years.

The front office certainly knows it. They keep drafting them and signing them in free agency. Right?

Maybe you missed it, but a Chiefs rookie WR just had 938 yards and 7 TDs in the regular season before setting the all time rookie record for postseason receptions.

Yeah, Rice might be good. We'll see. It took a long time and lots of swings and misses to finally get a potentially good receiver. We'll see if he can take the next step. And stop getting into trouble, of course...
